Looking for somewhere to play Snooker in Lewisville, TX

Hi Guys

I'm from Australia and am heading over to Lewisville, TX for business on May 8th for around 5 weeks. I am thinking about bringing my cue out there too so I can keep my hand on the table but only if I can find somewhere to play a bit of Snooker (preferrably international rules, not a local variant). I don't want to bring it out if I don't get to use it..

Can anybody tell me if there are any places around that area which have full size Snooker tables (12' x 6') and will cater for my needs?

Hey Neil. I just looked on findsnooker.com and it looks like you'll be in a part of Texas where there aren't any snooker tables around. If you're willing to drive to Houston, you'll be able to find tables and players.

Hmmm. The problem is that you guys all drive on the wrong side of the road over there !! ;-)
How far to Houston from Lewisville ?

Ooooohhh. Not sure I can trust myself that long on the wrong side of the road :-)
Might have to give it a miss this time then :-(
 
Hi Neil,
There is a 10 footer in Lewisville . There are another three or four ten footers in the DFW metroplex and you can definitely find someone to shoot with if you get in touch early enough. I am about 30 miles from there and am shooting on a 10 footer in Addison with a few of my friends.

You could never go wrong with Google Maps. :) Dr. Snooker (from what he has told me) has a SWEET Brittish 6' x 12' snooker table. I look forward for an invite in the future.

But I never play on any other table apart from a 12' x 6'. It messes with my game too much.
 
Man the power just went out. I got home just in time to see the doubled pink and black.

Anyway, yeah slick_rick, I do have a sweet setup. Specifically bought the house with the intent to put a snooker table in it. Come check it out!
It's a BCE westbury table (steel block).

Do you play with KBowmanDC and ShootSnook up in Dallas? KBowmanDC actually drove down from Dallas last year for two days of fun. I think my home court advantage was a little too strong...:grin:
