hi everyone. I need a tap mentioned and also two dies: 3/8-10 and 3/8-11. Could you point me a direction where to look at? Maybe also someone has a spare to send me.
I have never heard of a 3/8x 10 die. what are you going to make that is wood and need
3/8 x10 male threads?

I was asking on behalf of local fellow cuemaker. I don't know his intentions, guess he wants to make some pins?I have never heard of a 3/8x 10 die. what are you going to make that is wood and need

If I was going to make 3/8-10 pins, I would not use a die. I would use live tooling to cut the threads.

Can't do that with steel. My source cnc's them with 60* insert tool bit.
Really, 3/8 10 are so cheap, it's not worth making them.

ps
I hate 3/8 10 as they come in so many varieties ( different minors ).
There are some bastard 3/8 11 floating around too.
I urge everyone to stop using 3/8 11 unless it has 5/16 minor.
Ditch the .308 minor to make life easier for repair people.
