Looks Like Texas To Me

I would say that out of all the 50 states Texas has by far the most tournaments. What other states do you think are 2nd and 3rd?

I would bet 5/1 on the money the the next SVB comes from Texas. What I mean by the next SVB is that he/she will win many regionals, a good pepcentage of the $2500-$10,000 they enter, and their first major.

Are their any young guns right now in Texas or other states that are carving that path? Who are the youngest money players coming up right now? Johnnyt

Texas is pool paradise... nonstop flow of tourneys, great players all over the place, and since it's pretty much it's own country down here there's a wide variety of geographics and people.A block off the highway, ten minutes from the Lake in Round Rock, smelling the salt water and hearing the seawall a couple minutes away in Galveston, Riverlife in San Antonio, concrete jungle in Dallas, slowed down old school saloon at Legends for Houston Open... and that's off of two roads in three weeks. crazy.
Silver Ochoa is here, Scooter, Zaid Thweib, Doug Young is back around again, Lubbock has Shane, Hillbilly is obviously having a good year going, there's enough pros to go around, and now that Big Truck is streaming alot of the events, there's sure to be some more that most have never seen or heard of before.
If you aren't in Texas playing somewhere, you're missing out!
And don't get me started on the women players around this state.... hot chicks that can handle a stick.....and take your money with a purty lil smile!
Yep, come down and play a while:grin:

Don't need to bring the money to Texas. It's plentiful in New Orleans. Just need you Texas players to try and win it here. We don't mind losing, but you have to come here to win it. Send some good bar table players to the tournament and see if they can snap it off.

through my personal experience,as far as weekly tournaments, the Seattle area has always had the most weekly tourneys to choose from that actually pay good money. As far as regional tournaments that are $1000 added or better,I've always thought that the Florida area gave players more opportunities to play. Signed, Nothing to do in Dallas

Original post

I think JohnnyT was talking about young talent.

Hillbilly told me in Vegas he was training a young gun that shoots lights out. He said keep an eye out in a few years.

There is also a young kid, Justin Espinosa. 14 yrs old and a great shotmaker. Just needs to concentrate on EVERY shot and learn a little more strategy

ohio wants in

Chris, spoke to you in Galveston. Hope to see you in New Orleans on Oct.24th and 25th to snap off the Bar Table Tournament. Calcutta will be very high. First tournament in May had 48 players, 1st place paid $5500. Hope you make it. Limited to 64 Players. $1280 added. Guaranteed if only 2 people show. Thanks, Casey
