I guess your post sums up the point I was making about the Ebay auction. That auction did nothing to increase the value of your Zac,nor his, for that matter. Phrases like "the lowest price" ,"no other dealer will beat my price","authorized by Scott Zachow himself",devalue a fine craftsman's work. When you say the nicest cue for the least ammount of money,both bought and sold,assures that the prices for the man's work are on the way down,not up. How can he continue to produce a quality product under these circumstances? I think the profit margin was allready very slim,and now we expect even better deals from him? What is better for the player and collector,even lower prices than we are experiencing now? I think quality will suffer and force talented people into another venue. Maybe this is a good thing,maybe not. I have watched this cuemakers product for a while,his prices should be rising. Unfortunatly they seem to be on the downslope. I think you all should reread the auction description to fully understand what point I was making. Exposure has been there on Ebay for the maker for several years,but the tone of the auction says lower prices for his cues are on the horizon.
