Just a 'heads up' for everyone. The chat room is open at billiardsdigest.com and Loree Jon will be on in a little over 20 minutes.

I'm on the chat at BD website. I have asked two questions, but they have not been answered. Must be my dial-up modem, I guess. I enjoy reading the questions posed by others and the answers.

Its not your modem Jam, I think she is getting hit with alot of questons and is just getting to them as she can. The room was open and questions were asked before she ever got there. So it could take a while to get to yours.

I wonder how many, will you marry me, questions LJJ will get.

According to this, from the BD website, the chat begins at 9:00 PM eastern (15 minutes): "Loree Jon Jones -- one of the greatest women players of all time -- will be ready for your questions and comments at 9pm EST. A great opportunity to play Q&A with the BCA Hall of Famer. Ask her anything ... within reason!"

Wow, that was so cool, the live moderated chat with Loree Jon Jones. She answered ALL of my questions, and I felt like such a tourist! :p

I thought it was interesting when I asked her about her cue specifications and she said she liked the diameter of her shaft just under 13 and that she was picky about that. She also likes to hit 'em with an older Meucci, which is a good weapon on that slow nap, too.

I thought the chat with Loree Jon Jones was a great promotion for the upcoming Vegas match-up between her and Mike Sigel. Great idea, and I really enjoyed it.

It was very interesting, one thing she said, and I don't know if she was just bringing up what she would like to do, but she was asked about commentating on ESPN and she said you might see me commentating on Fox Sports instead of ESPN??

Could it be since Kevin signed the ex head of Fox Sports to produce for him, who also currently produces shows on fox that pool might make a break out appearance on Fox? That would be interesting and a Large increase in viewing audience as well.

That could be really interesting, Fox has been known to take chances and improve on things others have tried.

I caught that as well. And yes Fox has taken some chances and done some good things. It wasnt too long ago that you often heard jokes about the Fox network, but they have performed very well.

When I first heard Truedau was the one behind the IPT I thought it might have been a joke. But it seems like he may be able to really pull this thing together. I sure hope so, this could be great for pool.

I just cut off in mid sentence - WARNING! Do not use your Enter key to put a line feed in your Q, it will submit the Q.

But I got cut off again and it looks like it's too much for the server and it's taking it down.

I thought she was very shrewd in her answers. She's aware of pool politics and chose her words wisely.

ESPN may begin to take a closer look at pool if Fox brings it to the limelight and it's a hit. Time will tell.

I'm liking this IPT thing more and more every single day! :D

Yeah the IPT will be huge the next 2 years, since it's pretty much funded for the next 2 years by Kevin. But where it goes from there is up to ratings and advertising money that's drawn into the sport, so if it does end up on Fox, that would really help to gain new advertisers.

I think it was you that asked about locations of the tour? I'm going to ask Kevin to please look into holding at least one event in Atlantic City. I think we need at least one stop in the northeast, the Borgata would be perfect:D I'm not the biggest traveler and might not make it out to Vegas.

I don't supose anyone saved a transcript of the chat? I am sorry I missed it. :(

BTW, what is the addy to the BD chat???

The way I read the IPT tour, the players have NOTHING to lose, and Kevin Trudeau, et al., is taking a huge gamble on a game/sport that has had one tire stuck in the sand for a century. It would be magnificant to see pool players competing for REAL monies which could bring financial security to their lives. The world will see quite a different competitor in the pit.

I'm with you, SlimShafty. Atlantic City is in my neck of the woods! It may be difficult for prospective players to join the IPT before the end of September if they are not sure where the tournaments are being held. There are MANY East Coast pool players, and a tournament in this locale would be quite attractive.

I will be staying tuned to the IPT and all of its announcements, as will quite a few pool folk! :)

BTW, Mike Sigel will be on the live chat tonight, and I will be on the road to Turning Stone Casino. I wish BD could re-print the transcript of the question-and-answer session for those of us not fortunate to read it live in real time.

I missed the chat, but read the transcript. Thanks for the link.

Her answers were great. Did she fire them right back, or did she have to think about them?

I'm not much of a player, but I do agree that eight ball is a lot like straight pool. You have to choose the correct sequence of shots.

As to the difference between the way women and men play, it seems like the women roll the ball more, while men force the cueball.

I got to watch Efren at Hard Times last week, and still can't figure out what he was doing. A lot of spinning, that's for sure.

I’m with you Jen, I think this could be a very exciting and pivotal time in pool. :)
