Lori Shooting Pool

Guys think that is lori shampoo. Shew as right here with jean balukas. What a talent, she to died young.

Thanks for the clip. Lori? More details please...

Lori Shampo played in the Detroit area when I was learning to play, probably 80-84 time frame. She played a solid 9-Ball game and I think she learned One-Pocket later on. She was fearless as a gambler and many guys who should have played her refused to. I saw her break even with a few good players from this area.

i think if you are going to play a female you should play on a snooker table;;;;:D
i think cowboy dennis knows what i mean
since he sent me a video of that game...

I wish she was still around today. Lori and I played some $75 or $100 races at the old Rack and Mr. 9 ball in around 1980-81. She was a fierce competitor who was totally into the game and gambling. I had a lot of respect for her. I played her then boyfriend Tommy 4 or 5x as well.

That was damn good, she picked up her jacket, walked out,and just left her cue on the table,!!! I see a LOT of folks do that,do y"all ???

Yes, well, that was TV and I'm sure she came back for it. I knew her and played against her in tournaments and I liked her a lot. She projected a tough exterior but was a very kind and caring person and she played at a level that was ahead of her time.

Am I the only one upset how that was clearly a fake game? The 1 was in the middle after the break, then it's a bank with the 2 in the clear, then it's somehow a 2-3 combo!

Sheesh, talk about journalistic standards, or lack thereof.

Must have been the same guy who edited the scenes from TCOM.

After she banked the 1 the cueball obviously went three rails and hit the 2 down by the 3 for a straight-in combo:).

I thought someone might mention the game-ending shot.

Try watching Jesse Cardiff vs. Fats Brown (Twilight Zone) sometime and carefully watch the balls on the table at the end of that game.

It's just artistic license, that's all:D. For those of us that knew Lori it's nice to hear her voice and see her shoot.

I didn't know her, but I liked the video...definitely artistic license. Nothing wrong in that. She was obviously a player.

You have always been so easily impressed..She was just another 'mop squeezer' who could beat a few male 'C' players, like you!
..Big deal, so can John Barton! (when he's in stroke)

I don't know who the hell you are or why you would speak such a way of one of our beloved deceased players. It's clear to see that you are a low class act.

For the short time that she competed, Lori gave Jean Balukas a run for her money in women's pro tournaments and did beat her as well. Any male C level player would have been stupid to play her without getting substantial weight.

I don't know who the hell you are either!..My post was very clearly intended to be a joke, between Cowboy Dennis and I..Let me suggest, if you didn't get that, maybe you should just BUTT OUT! :(

PS..You may be the only one who didn't 'get it'! (which is typical of most females) :sorry:

So, it's not OK for him to say anything about Lori's game because you think she was a good player, but it is perfectly fine for you to diss a HOF player? And, if you really don't know who he is, you need to get out from under your rock.
