Who’s going and what do you think the turnout for this event will be like.
It doesn’t seem like southern California is much into strait pool ?

are these the world championship qualifiers? If so it's gonna be a pretty big turnout I'd expect. People will travel to play in it.

One qualifier for the entire country West of the Mississippi and it's limited to 16 players. Yikes!

man, just first come, first served? That'd suck if some great players got left out because they didn't camp at the ticket gate, so to speak.

How's the situation east of the Mississippi? New york alone has more than 16 champions, and for some reason a lot of high level players concentrate in florida, including JS.

The qualifier winner only gets a paid entry fee for World's. Does not seem worth the effort IMO.

If they were paying expenses for the winner, I'd be practicing straight pool.

The only guy I can think of in So Cal who should definately be there is Dan Wallace who was living in San Diego. I don't know any other good players in SD who even play 14.1 .

Maybe Hemmah or Eberle would play if they're not already in.

I mentioned the qualifier to Dan today. I'm not sure if he will play or not. He said he hasn't been playing much straght pool lately. I hope he does though. He's the only player in SD that I know of who can get those high runs of 100+ balls in an inning.

Ill be there. I am not playing though. I only just started playing straght pool and with a 100 point spot wouldnt get to 125 with these guys before them. I know another player in San Diego thats a great strong player. Therre is a qualifier in Chicago June 30th On Q Club.
