Louie Roberts Video....VINTAGE GAMBLING

I'm surprised that the video hasn't made it's way to you tube. 9-ball is a good guy that has spent a lot of time streaming several local events on his own time and dime. I don't necessarily blame him not wanting to spend the time or effort to put it on you tube.

I have the video in question. As matter of fact, a friend mine several years ago copied this to DVD format from a VHS tape for me. This tape was in the possession of a tournament director that lent it to me to watch. I had a DVD made for them also and returned the VHS copy. Over the last few years, I've seen several different people selling DVD copies of the match.

Here is what I will do. I'll burn a copy and send it to one person here that has the time, account, and knowledge to put it on you tube. I personally haven't put anything on you tube and really don't feel comfortable in doing it. I don't think that there is any copy right issues but I don't know.

If someone is already in the process of posting it on you tube, let everyone know and I won't need to send out the DVD. Otherwise, whomever gets the DVD needs to have it posted on you tube within a week of receiving it.

Love all the stories, for his short time on this earth, to have this much impact still.

He must have been quite an experience.

P.S. The Freddie King was an excellent bonus!

Tossing another charismatic player of Louies era, and a tough opponent was Steve Gumphries, he was about a 1/2 ball under Louie, but ''very'' entertaining player. He trapped me once, gave me all he breaks on a damp/wet/tight east coast table, it was impossible to make a ball on the break. This is very strong move if you know your opponent doesn't break well or the table doesn't leak.

Sounds like a winning solution. Now all we need is someone who knows how to post on YouTube. I sure know how to watch the chit out of YouTube.

Thanks man...I really want to see this!!!

I have posted in the Wanted/For Sale section.

Again, I am not trying to make money on the DVD, but then again, I am not trying to lose money either.

I had never seen him play, and asked around, usually for Keith McCready or Louie Roberts and never get it. I did get this one and will pass it along.

I did get from a friend a never seen before video of Keith McCready gambling.

Keith must have been the guy that wore the ugliest t-shirts known to mankind....(and bad hats too)

LOL

On a side note... I'm in the process of converting over 9 VHS tapes from the 1994 us open onepocket championships in Kalamazoo courtesy of sappo from the onepocket.org forums. Stay tuned for those!

Since when did he get off the throne.......:)' Last pic I saw he was still wearing a long gladiaor skirt.

Tee-hee. He's incognito now, hoping to fly under the radar. :grin-angelic:

But some day when you least expect it, The Keith McCready Show may be playing at a neighborhood pool room near you very soon.

girlfriend

Sorry Cali - I thought my post was clear but I guess not. Louie was in Arizona, walking around in front of his house on a cordless phone, when he called the pool room in St Louis.

He was found in the dining room in the old woman's house.

does anyone have any information of the girlfriend? sounds like she would have some information.

Does that mean the chum is in the water?:groucho:

All -

Does anyone else want a DVD?

John Brumback got his copy and loved it.

He told me a gambling story of him and Louie and then told me one about him and Keith McCready!

Cracked me up.
