Just give me a call. With all the lessons I have given I have worked with about 100 one eyed players and I have studied each of them and have learned what works the best.

Alot of the techniques that i use work really good for the one eyed player especially a few are very important.

Maybe once the naysayers see that they are called to task for their despicable behavior, they will be more civil to the Gene Albrechts, Hal Houles and Stan Shuffetts of the world.

The naysayers deserve far worse than just reminding them of what they have done to this forum.

Roger you seem far more tolerant to names and references like snake-oil salesmen, delusional, stupid, tin-foil hats, spammers, and hucksters than you are to the description of the people who hate on others. If it seems like I am being a little hard on the naysayers, that is your perception.

My naysayers chant is here to stay as a reminder to the haters that their ad hominem attacks on members of this forum is not something that is to be tolerated.

As to you feeling like the naysayers chant is getting old, you can fix that quite easily. Put me on ignore. That would suit me just fine. That way you can go back to describing CTE/Pro One as a marketing ploy and you won't see my naysayer comments when you refer to that remarkable aiming system.

You of all people should be demanding that the naysayers apologize for their putrid attacks on good and decent people for the last 10 years, but no........ you would rather complain about some calling them what they really are.

My thoughts are that the naysayers have been tolerated too long. Maybe a regular reminder is just what they need to keep themselves in line. If it looks like I am being too hard on them, go back and read their hate messages, snide remarks and condescending attitude for years. If you don't find their comments offensive, then you must be a naysayer. If you do find their comments REPULSIVE, then why have you been silent for all this time?

GREAT POOL PLAYERS have stepped up to the plate and have documented that the things Gene teaches is GOLDEN. The next time a Gene Albrecht comes to the forum, selling an idea and a dream, maybe the haters will just make their one condescending remark and be on their way, allowing others who are interested in learning to learn from those who go out of their way to teach. We're all big boys and girls and can make up our own mind about what we want to believe and what we want to learn. We don't need a vigilante group of haters trying to ridicule good and decent people, who are trying to help others learn how to play pool better.

I'm still waiting for the naysayers to apologize but I know that's not forthcoming. Maybe my naysayer references will be enough to keep them from chasing off the next generation of aiming system proponents.

So Roger, if you don't like my use of the word naysayers, just delete the channel.

Personally, I think calling the naysayers out every so often makes them stay in line a little better. I've noticed the naysayers have quieted down just a little bit, so maybe it's working.

As a follow-on to Lou's last posting, one should re-read this vitriolic propaganda crap that Joey posted a month ago. If Joey is taking it upon himself to keep the Naysayers "in line" with his name-calling, insults and ad hominem attacks, then that makes him a self-righteous hypocrite and a forum bully. :nono:

If proponents of various aiming systems would stop insulting sceptics and making vitriolic propaganda statements, the discussion would immediately become much more civil.

Although I agree that JoeyA's numerous slams on "naysayers" is too much, I put the majority of the blame of non-civil bickering on the so-called naysayers.

Proponents of aiming systems are always put on the defense on these forums. This isn't a court. It's just a forum. Let people try it and like or not like it. It won't hurt our environment and the use of aiming systems won't sway the direction of our voting. And it won't hurt anyone's game in the long run.

In general, "anti aim system" pundits are just too socially inept or too arrogant to realize how aggressive their anti-sentiments are. Of course, the more obvious reason is that anti aim-system posters want to get a rise out of the proponents and will use their most powerful weapons: logic and education.

That being said, I was a naysayer and was guilty of the above also. Who out there has got the balls enough to admit it?

I'm no pro like yourself Dick and I don't pretend to be one. I'm just a struggling amateur. Much to your chagrin and that of the naysayers I'm sure, the aiming systems are here to stay. If you haven't seen that MANY people benefit from them, then there's no getting through to you (and that's OK). I have no interest in changing your mind about how helpful aiming systems can be.

Your needling on the other points aren't really worth answering but I would make this suggestion to you in response to them.

For the New Year:
Why don't you consider making valuable posts that might help others improve their pool game? You've got a lot of valuable years of experience to share.

Consider evaluating a product and give a product review to help other forum members to be become better informed.

When you read stuff about aiming systems or anything for that matter, open your mind and consider that maybe you're the one with the wrong perspective (just maybe). And if you decide that you're not wrong, then just admit that it's not your cup of tea and go back to your Yukon Jack and let the other parties remain stuck in their thinking. You might also consider putting that Yukon Jack away when you're posting on the forum. j/k, drink away. It's all good. You've earned that right and it's not my business to tell you when to drink or how much to drink.

Find a way to communicate with others that enhances the forum and one that will make you feel good about yourself. Needling people isn't a good way to make friends and influence people.

Thank God we don't have many yeasayers at my regular hangout, as they are mostly mature adults, who found out long ago, there are NO 'magic bullets'..

Also, I have taken a few Dale Carnegie courses (requirement of a sales job, I once had) and I passed with flying colors. I already knew more than the instructors of said courses..(not too surprising, eh)
