Hi,

I have found that the soft curly from Oregon is very highly figured with cool chatoyance. I have never seen and hard curly that compares as far as figure goes. If you core the soft curly you can use it for a handle.

Ask your CM what he thinks.

The best ones I've found are from Michigan.
I have a good number of pieces now but don't sell them. My source wouldn't like me if I did that.
Some popular sources are listed here.

If your looking for nice soft curly maple I have plenty that may fit the bill. It will have to be cored. The ebony cue in my sig is a piece off the same board I would sell.
