Hello Folks,
I am looking to buy a used set of the 3 DVD set titled A POOL LESSON WITH JERRY BRIESATH. Please send a pm and I'll reply ASAP.

Original DVD's only please no copies... lol.

Interesting twist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent out the payment for these DVD's to a member of AZ and today the mail delivery came. I received a priority delivery envelope with delivery confirmation completely empty! I have sent a PM to the person involved, he has already received my US Postal Money Order for the DVD's. I am awaiting an explanation to the situation before I go any further. Stay tuned...

I am in the middle of contacting the seller and he's stating that he'd never rip anyone off for $45.00.. I got an empty sealed up envelope. He also states he will return my money on Monday, I certainly hope that this works out for the best. Honestly I hope he finds the DVDs at his house or something and sends them that's all I wanted in the beginning!

Although this is not my business I hope the seller makes a public comment here. I hate to hear/read about these situations.

We do not understand where the DVD went. I packaged and sent it. I will not ruin my reputation over this amount of money. I immediately went online and purchased a new DVD set from Jerry and the order is being sent directly to him. Doesn't make sense to either of us, but again not worth it not to take care of this issue. He sent money and deserves the DVD set.

Here is a copy of my order to be sent to him.

Kudos for doing the right thing.

I might have not posted the OP's full name and address in this thread to respect his privacy. You could edit it out if you choose.

Thanks guys for watching my back, I just sent Rob a PM asking him to edit out my personal stuff.

We are working it out as swiftly as possible.. It's a real mess for us both and we are going to the PO on Monday with some questions on both ends of the transaction..

I just want to be crystal clear both Rob & I believe the PO is responsible for this loss, proving that may prove impossible. When I got the package it was completely empty, totally sealed up and undamaged. I ran out the door to the postman that I see daily and he said it was flimsy to him when he dropped it off but thought it just had papers in it. He told me that himself so somehow, somewhere between the date of dropoff and delivery the DVDs went up in thin air. The only folks that had access to it were PO employees..

I also did not bring his name into this because we were in immediate contact regarding the issue and he took the initiative of ordering the DVDs from Jerry without my requesting anything at that point.

Stay tuned as I said earlier we are both heading to our post offices on Monday to see what they have to say.

Please review the DVD after you watch it. I have JB's...HOW TO PLAY POOL RIGHT. it is excellent.

I want to thank Dan. He handled this very professional by not getting on here and blasting me, with name calling and such. I would be upset if I got an empty envelope. Like Dan, I doubt anything else comes of it. The only possiblity of finding them is if the envelope didn't seal and the DVD fell out. Far fetched.

The most important thing is Dan is getting DVDs and they are new. He really handled the situation well. The only downfall is he has to wait a little longer for his DVDs.

Well this bites the big one. I was all geared up for some week long enjoyment with name calling, videos to pick apart and of course itsfroze coming in to play the part of the person wronged.

It just seemed so right. Person posts a WTB thread in the main forum "accidently". Person buys something. Person receives a package of air.

All the stars were aligned for a good one.

But noooooooo.....what happens instead? They both agree it was empty and the seller is digging in his pocket to make it right.

Now were stuck with wondering why people are still talking about this guy that makes cases and keeps getting banned.

Sad, very sad. I'm disappointed in everyone that's involved, along with everyone that's not involved too.

:D

We could start a conspiracy theory that Dan and I planned this whole thing as a parody of the the ones that have gone wrong and made for good discussion. Maybe a learning exercise.

Post office thieves?

The probable answer to the mystery is obvious...

I had a former employee of the PO tell me years ago that workers almost routinely take magazines home to read before delivering, and steal what they can, particularly when facing lay-offs or pay cuts...

The only thing I can do for Rob at this point is send him the shipping envelope back so he can be certain it is the one he sent and it was sealed up the way he remembers. There is a 5 - 6 inch long piece of 2 inch wide tape over the envelope seal in the middle. I assume he put that there as an extra precaution when he shipped it unless that was done by a postal employee. Sadly for him and me this incident casts serious doubts about the honesty of the postal employees that handled this package. That one thing may get the post office to take a real look as to what happened here. IMO, there is a day not far off when we will see a private company take over the work that the post office now handles.

Interesting, I did not use any extra tape. That might just be the answer to the mystery. No need to send the envelope. I think you are correct that a private company will and needs to take over the mail service.
