Lucasi vs. Pechauer

Also with my production cue I get a lifetime warranty, unlike a custom cue. Which puts my mind at ease when spending a decent chunk of change

Lucasi's are cheap asian made cues which do NOTHING to 'help' this economy...Pechauers are made right here in the good ol' USA, and play MUCH BETTER than a Lucasi ever could IMO.

Absolutely this!!!! I bought a Lucasi cue back in 03 and then stopped playing withi it in 05 or so. Then i pull it out in 08 because i picked up the game again it last all or 4 times out. The wrap started to come un-done and the tip was terrible. I had a uni-lock joint that had a balance point near the joint!!!! I couldnt believe how bad it played until i got my newest cue a month later.

I would go with Pechauer without question!!!

I have a Pechauer and a Jacoby. I like both but I always play with the Pechauer. Something about the hit just appeals to me. The Jacoby has a soft hit and I tend to lose the feel. I would recommend the Pechauer. A custom cue would be cool but you really have to do your research before you buy one of those. Good luck!

What does this cover? I would guess that most never use the warranty, but you are right, it is nice to have just in case.

I would also guess that most good and ethical custom cuemakers will stand behind there products and also offer a warranty.

lucasi fo sho

I own a total of 5 lucasi cues and I love them. I bought my first one back in 08 for under a 100 bucks brand new with the nylon wrap and it is is still in great shape I upgraded a year or so later to the hybrid for around 300 bucks it is a phenomenal cue especially with a kamui black ss. I really enjoy the g5 grip and the laminated shaft. It seems like my game went to another level when i started playing with that cue. I also have the big beaulah 2, the air hog and the plain lucasi jump cue. Neither one of my cues have warped the least little bit the only bad thing about it is the butt cap is starting to rip on my hybrid because i have a nervous habit of bouncing it on the ground but thats a quick fix. a good friend of mine has a pechauer and it hits pretty good also and my brother has a josey which hits great as well the butt of it is just a little to fat for me. Keith is a jam up dude and does all of my cue work so if you think about getting a custom i would recommend him. not to mention he was the cue maker of the year in 2011.

i'd go with the lucasi. from what i've seen they seem to be balanced better and the inlay work is as good if not better than pechauers.

I sell both cues and I think they play equally well.

Lucasi is a little better for ld fans. They also have the rubberized grips which many people are moving towards. They have an advantage in the joint department as well. It is much easier to find aftermarket shafts. Pechauer has a proprietary joint.

To Pechauer's credit, they have great hitting cues with nice designs and offer great value for an American made cue. Their attention to detail is legendary and you can customize your cue to some extent.
