Major Problem With Meucci Customer Service Help

In all fairness, you have to give Bob credit for the business he created. Think of how many of us got into cuemaking and/or repairing by looking at how a Meucci was constructed. He has contributed a lot to this industry and to the technology that has evolved over the years and he has stayed true to his original cue design, construction techniques, and basic materials. Like them or not, they have been a staple of the billiard world for over 40 years.

I was finally able to get ahold of Deron at Meucci after 2 weeks. He said it should take about 2 weeks to refinish my cue. Will update everyone once I ( if I ? ) get the cue back. Worst customer service ever. I bought an older early 90's Meucci here on AZ. I really like the hit on the older Meucci's and the cue is a really nice model. Will post pictures and let everyone know how this plays out. I would never buy a new Meucci. You would think the best one to refinish a cue would be the maker of the cue... NOT... as far as Meucci is concerned. It was funny at the super billiards expo. There was a booth selling just Meucci cues and they were all factory rejects. I had McDermott refinish a D12 for me and the work and service was excellent !

I know Bob told me about the rejects, I wonder what % of the cues on the Market are rejects? IMHO Id say that number is fairly high, or I wonder if Bob really knows the quality of the cues leaving the factory?

BOB, BUDDY PICK UP A CUE OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE, go hit 10 balls with it, if its approved, sign it, Try 1 cue in every 1000....... the cues you sign could be sold at a later date as PERSONALY APPROVED BY BOB MEUCCI.

If that doesnt help, call me, I'll fire the people in charge of quality control in production, we'll bring back whats been missing in Meucci.

I have spoke with Bob on a few occasions, I explained that I wanted a Meucci thats played like a Meucci

He explained some of the cues ment to be destroyed ended up on the market. He recomended buying a Meucci Direct.

If you have a problem with Meucci talk to BOB.

If tha doesnt work, you need to take legal action.

So many horror stories (about Meucci products, customer service, even outright thievery) abound. When is enough enough?

As for suggestions to "buy Meucci direct" or "talk to Bob"...

-- Many of the horror stories involve cues that people bought direct from Meucci. Then they couldn't get a response, or a refund, or a repair.

-- People aren't able to get a response from Meucci at all via phone or e-mail, let alone reaching Bob directly

Here's the best suggestion:

Don't buy Meucci. Don't call Meucci for any service. Give your business to someone who deserves it. There are many great dealers, sellers, cuemakers etc. out there.

And if for some inexplicable reason you want a Meucci cue badly, only buy one you have the opportunity to hold in your hands and closely inspect first. Then don't send it to Meucci for repairs should the need arise in the future.

The above is very good advice.

Umm... I have heard different on the basic materials part of what you said. I think an ex Meucci employee noted on here that Bob started using some cheaper composites to increase profit, and those were a big factor in the problems Meuccis are having now..

Anyone who allows their name to be lowered to the current level Meucci is at deserves no fairness, until every customer has been treated fairly. This company and the people who operate it are completely dishonest in all respects, and their past achievements do not make it right!!

By the way, a shit sandwich is still just that, no matter how it began!!!!

I agree in part. At the end of the day, it is Bob's name on the cue. He should be involved in the quality control. Everything was "fine" up until about 5-7 years ago. That's when the cues went further downhill and the customer service disappeared.

I don't understand how "defective" cues hit the market.

If they are defective, why weren't they destroyed before they left the factory?..........

I dont get it.

Its only been since March 22? I sent a cue there while I was an Authorized Dealer of Meucci for a new butt plate. After 4 mos. their response was " why are you in such a hurry?" So I would wait 6-8 months and maybe call them again and maybe they might pick up the phone. Maybe they will do the work. Maybe they will send you a cue. Maybe Bob will drive it to your house? Meucci has serious issues right now. I would keep my "expectations" pretty low. Good luck. You'll need it. You might need a new cue also.

I sent in a Meucci cue to be refinished:rolleyes: They received the cue March 22.
They will not return repeated phone messages:eek: I talked to Barbara multiple times and she says I need to talk to Deron. Last Monday I spoke with Barbara and wanted to check the status of the cue I sent in for refinishing. Requested to speak with Deron to see if he had any suggestions for repair work on the cue, and what work they do when refinishing a cue. I have not been able to get a callback from them or a confirmation that they received my cue. When you call their only phone number 662-895-3220 their is usually no answer and if you leave a message they never return your call. At this point I just want my cue back and will let someone else do the refinish. Worst customer service ever
I have a friend of mine that just got his back. It is horrible!! They refinished it and put a new wrap on it. They changes the color of the finish, the wrap looks like some kind of fishing string and then they sanded the part where the stick goes together down over .40. Now when you roll it on the table it is bent. I am not sure how that happen. Anyway it looks like a beginner done his work and I would highly recommend that everyone get their stuff back and find some one else to do their work. I would suggest Joe Blackburn; He is one of the best I’ve seen. Good luck.
