Just because you feel like or strongly associate with something doesn't make it so.
If someone you know says Hey I'm a Cat, Dog, Monkey, Elephant. I hope instead
of being PC you would say no. you may act like one, dress like one and even resemble one. Always remember its still a pig with lipstick.

Two comments on this:

1) I used to play APA in San Diego and the League Ops there were awesome. Really cared about and catered to the players, paid back generously, promoted singles and alternate formats, and ran an honest ship.

2) San Diego is a city not unfamiliar with the LGBTQ community.

Is the Facebook post arguing about skill or gender identity?

He wasn't born with a vagina he's not a women. I know science is a b$&$$ for you crazy liberals lol

For the record I don't care what you dress as ... None of my business. But your not a women so stay out of women only events.

Step 1 - Quit APA, Everytime I hear APA I want to roflmao.

If you really want to or must play in a league, choose a house league, TAP or UPA, much better.

But apa gives woman too much advantage. In today's society equal rights is the mainstream. So why have a woman's only league/ Why are woman always a rank lower than they should be or start off lower. Yes most beginning woman aren't as good, but as a man if I tell a woman that, I am ridiculed; but the equalizer will adjust their handicap anyways over time.

In my experience with league players, they enjoy drama any damn ways so maybe this is destined. Always want to get weight, thinking that apa rules is real pool. Complains about being moved up, sandbag to stay the same rank. It is a shame really. But off topic, so...

There shouldn't be separate divisions anyways, women fought for equal rights, Time we gave it to them. Who does an individual or organization think they are by telling women they are not as good as us? If you want to be the best, you need to beat the best. Plain and simple. If you want an all women's event, go make a private book club, We all know that the APA's women league is only a mere social event for them anyways...

The spelling and grammar in this post suggest liberals aren't the only crazy ones.

I don't agree with her disqualification. In my opinion it's the league operator responsible for the situation, not her. Sounds like she's been an active player for a long time under the same alias.

Maybe Rhea can chime in on this? Does she play apa? Does she play in the female division?

I play APA but i am a 6 in 8 ball, I wont get a 9 ball rating until next session but I will start as a 6 since I am a 6 currently in 8 ball. And yes I am on the female roster for APA but my drivers license actually does say female on it. I can only play in jack and jill events as female so long as we do not exceed maximum skill level. In BCAPL I also play as femae in fact I play as female in all events. I don't enter mens events and never have before.

I played BCAPL US Bar table championships in Reno NV in 2014 and won 4th place in the main 9 ball womens division.

Not yet, I haven't qualified to go to vegas yet. I've only played 2 sessions of APA so far. They started me as a 5 and I went up to a 6 at the end of the first session. I am working hard to become the highest level in 8 ball which is a 7.

Depending on your draw you may have to wait hours...as in 5+ hours between matches. I would know. I had to wait 6 hours between my 1st and 2nd match and ended up playing poker, getting hammered, and missed my next match since I was at the opposite end of the Riviera than the pool tables. Oh well lol.

That sounds like something I would do! Hahaha def missed a delayed connecting flight for the same reason, but sub out poker for hitting on females at the airport bar in Phoenix.

So are you saying there should be no wpba....lpga...wnba...womens gymnastics.... Every one should play equal ?

I find it odd that no one has referred to the fairly recent thread discussing the WPBA's position on the issue.

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=429214&highlight=wpba+transgender

In that thread, it was pointed out that a transgender player (Annie O) played for years on the tour and Rhea pointed out the specific policy the WPBA has on the issue (under that policy, simply identifying as a woman does not satisfy the requirement, but they look for a note from a doctor that the persons hormones are within the medically acceptable range for a female). So if Norma had tried to compete at a WPBA event, there would be a set of rules to determine whether that was permitted. One can obviously debate whether the WPBA policy is the right one, but at least they have a policy.

On the very narrow question of what happened with this player (or should happen) the issue to me is whether the APA has a policy on who it allows in the woman's division. They might have a policy like the WPBA, or they might have a different policy.

In this day and age, the APA (and every league) really should have a policy, and it should be communicated to players and league operators.

Most serious organizations are following the Olympic standards for transgender inclusiveness: http://www.wbur.org/commonhealth/2016/08/12/olympics-transgender-athletes
