Man, pool halls are dangerous

Oh, so you just figured that out, at least it's not too late.

Someone we both know went to the doctor. When the doctor told him to lay down a Glock hit the floor. The patient apologized, picked up the glocko, tried to lay down and it hit the floor again. He went to put it back and the doc told him to just lay it on the counter until the exam was over!

Good guess but I wouldn't be caught dead with a Glock. I carry whatever is handy for day to day usage, if headed into Indian country I carry a Humodified Colt Commander in .45. I'm confident I can run that thing dry before somebody falls.

Last Thursday night, I took my renewal class for my California CCW permit. The class concluded at 10:30 pm.

My renewal was approved by the Police Department the very next morning, Friday, before 11:30 am. The new
streamlined process is amazingly fast. I submitted my actual renewal application Friday morning before 9 am
and submitted the necessary paperwork and certification documents. Apparently the prior 18 renewals I did
was using different internal systems from fingerprints to photographs to background checks. Now it is a breeze.

During the incredibly hot summer months in the Central Valley, my S&W 637-2 is what I carry because of easy
concealment otherwise it is a Para Ordinance P-12 that is a helluva .45 to carry. It’s small, light & lotta capacity.

America today is no longer a country where personal safety can be an after thought after stepping out for the night.
It is not because of rampant crimes of person or robberies. It’s because there are too many crazy gun toting people.

You don’t have to be doing anything wrong to get shot, like sitting in church with your school class attending mass,
shopping in a local Walmart, going to a nightclub or restaurant or even just showing up for work or attending class.

You can’t carry a gun everywhere you go but you can remain on the alert. Know your surroundings, entry and exit points, escape routes, etc. Remain observant of others acting oddly or suspiciously. Flee before fight but fight before you die.

In 2 weeks, I’ll do the same with my Utah non-resident CCW permit that authorizes me to carry in 37 states so when
I visit my children, I am still allowed to carry where they live. Guns are a onerous responsibility but can save your life.

I love Glocks. You can hammer with them, they're dishwasher-safe, and they absolutely shoot well enough for self defense.

Also, no one is allowed in the house with anything but 9mm or 5.56/.223. For sentimental reasons I do keep a .357 but it's not part of the regular rotation.
