THNAK YOU Heath Manning at Manning Cues
Interesting to have finally found any commentary on Heath Manning. I have never purchased equipment from him but did initially spend at least six months watching his training videos (of which there are many) and incorporated many of them into my training regiment. I would have to say that the bulk of my skill set has come from his teachings. He is the first to admit that many of the techniques he demonstrates were not created by him but only taught and shown by him. His is an exemplary teacher; clear, consistent, humble and dedicated to pool.
Over the past year, and solely because of the material found on Mr. Manning's web site, I have learned almost all of the things that I could never do before, consistently, on the pool table: one, two and three rail kicking with confidence, long and short rail banking with confidence, spinning off the rail (perpendicular) to an exact location, follow to an exact location, draw to an exact location (hard), high jumps, long jumps, etc.. Manning's videos are mostly in HD and the production value is very high. One of my favorite videos that made me look at pool differently, specifically competition, is called "winning vs. losing." It's the chill pill of perspective i needed to be able to calm myself down when competing and not get nervous. The video's effect maps over my entire game.
Give his site a whirl if you get a chance,

THANK YOU HEATH MANNING!
For you newbies like myself who are not afraid to pick up a book, I also recommend the following:
Byrne's Standard Book of Pool and Billiards, Robert Byrne
If you treat it like a text book, you will find that it is quite intense and learn volumes.
