Manwon - A Stand Up Guy!!!

Hi All,

Just wanted to give one of our newer posters a well deserved pat on the back for a transaction that I just had with him.

As some of you know, Manwon offered a Palmer on this forum a few days ago. He said that he would sell it to one of us AZB'rs (at a very nice price), if we bid on it prior to receiving a bid from a prospective buyer on Ebay, where he also had the cue listed. I bid immediately, but by the time I checked my Paypal account, emailed amd Pmailed Manwon, etc., the cue had a bid (we're talking a seven minute time frame). The Ebay bidder didn't offer him what he was asking, but Manwon wanted to live up to his word and decided to continue the auction, even though I had offered to pay him what he was asking. A few of our posters jumped in to let him know that they didn't think it was fair. I raised the bid on Ebay to equal the asking price so Manwon didn't have to feel that he was cancelling the high bidder if he chose to follow through with our deal, but Manwon still didn't feel right about it, no matter what public opinion was. After a while, I noticed the ad had been pulled from Ebay. Next thing you know, he wrote me a PM saying that he had thought it over, and since I was the first one to offer him his asking price, that he'd had a change of heart and wanted to offer the cue to me. He said that after a lot of thinking, this just seemed right and fair to him. I sent him a payment and just received the cue, nicely packaged and in great condition.

In this day and age, it's a rare thing to find a person that has principles and so I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention. I would like to thank everone that wrote to Manwon on my behalf (we've got a great bunch of folks here that look after one another!), and would like to tell anyone that's interested in doing business with Manwon (Craig) that you won't be disappointed. He's a great guy to deal with and I would highly recommend him and plan on doing more business with him down the road.

Regards,

Steve

Good for both of you
