This is rediculous, people from around the world used those sites. I really don't think it's the United States place to impose it's morals on the world.

Actually, it depends on where these three incorporated themselves. If in the U.S. (with a corporate HQ office in the U.S.), but yet all / lion's share of the financial transactions going through that office are handled by off-shore banks (perhaps using a bank here in the U.S. as a deflectionary/gratuitous facade), that's by definition money laundering.
Like Superstar says, give it 24 hours. The truth (or at least someone's version of it) will shake out here soon enough.

In the end I doubt its the morality of it, more likely it will be the taxes. The government always wants their share like in the lottery even they don't buy a ticket.
If these sites end up shutting down permenantly, it's going to kill online poker altogether. Nobody is going to switch to another site knowing its days are inevitably numbered. People don't play poker for fun. They play it for money and if there is any risk of losing that money, what's the point? I don't mean to be rude by pointing out the obvious. I'm simply trying to say that a shut-down of any site will have a permenant ripple effect throughout the entire industry.

I hope you're right. I know there have been rulings that turned out to be less frightening than the media portrayed. However, I think this time there is greater fear of losing poker accounts than ever before.

Yes, I believe you're thinking of PartyPoker (PartyCasino). As SUPERSTAR stated, they haven't done business in the United States since the 2006 online gambling legislation passed so I would presume they will not be impacted directly from this action. However, I do believe that online poker, as a whole, will suffer immensely. I don't know very much about the percentages but I know Americans make up the largest percentage of players, likely a majority.
