Now would be the time before the shafts and j/ps are finished . Good time to choose . Its going to be 18.5 oz. and up 29" butt , balance going to be 19 to 20' from butt cap . 3/8 x 10 pin . .060 brass ring at joint . Jim

I got it.....best of both.......Cognac Spanish Bull.....leather dyes pretty easily so I've been told.
Got zero experience with leather wraps....sure are the best looking of any......all my cues have Cortland.

With the white joint and white in those rings I'd love to see it with a white based linen wrap, white/brown would be awesome. I don't care for leather wraps myself but they seem to be popular with a lot of people so I'm sure it'd be a selling point, but also an added expense.

Wrap

Well, if both joint and butt were white, I'd say Irish linen white/brown. If joint and butt both were black, I'd say smooth black Irish linen.

But now both are different, I'd like the kangaroo wrap on Martin's Superior site...

Mr. Baxter.....How About Any of these?

Jim,

Let me admit that I am not a fan of leather wraps.....I have always been a Irish Linen player and by coincidence, all my cues, except for the Palmer,
have Cortland Linen wraps. My new cue being built by Bob Owen will have Cortland (#9) and so I guess I'm really more of a Cortland Linen fan than anything else.

In my prior post ,I commented that leather wraps had the best look and I meant that too. Personally, I'd find some Irish Linen wrap to use and there were a couple
that I saw on the Shurtz Cues website (sold cues) that I'd go with if this was my cue. Having stated that, below are some photos of 3 different leather wraps from the
Shurtz website that I thought would look great with this cue. I'll let others comment.....two are very similar & the color/darkness is the difference and the 3rd is very different.

Anyway, with the tone of the brown wood in your cue, I recommend considering one of these wraps. I know which I'd select if I wanted to have a leather wrap on this cue.
