I have been reading these threads and its really interesting. Some pool players tend to look at the negatives and nit pick. Mark and I have had a few disagreements in the past but I do not fail to see the positives he has done for pool. Look at the big picture of the event, plenty of amateurs and pros made some money and had a good time. If you did a poll on the players I am sure many will be back again next year.

Do I agree with Shane being brought back?, no I do not but can see why it happened. I think maybe pushing Ralf to finish in a lower spot and then having Shane vs Darren to play for the right to face Ko would have been a good play as I believe Darren and Shane had the same records unless I am mistaken. Either way I am sure lessons will be learned and next year they will make it so if you forfeit that you don't get paid. Lets look at the positives of the event and maybe just make constructive criticism in the hopes for change when needed. Play well and be lucky my friends.

Are there any match results, brackets, rules and/or payouts for this event posted anywhere?

It makes no sense for Shane to play Darren for the spot...they were in different groups.

For some reason I thought they were in the same group but either way both were out and with identical records it would have been a good match for the spectators and viewers.

Quote of the month!!! Well said

integrity of game was messed with.

We need more people like LENNY at the very top of our sport of POOL!

Lenny has great communitaion skills for pool and the wits to be a dam good leader!

Mark is a dam good leader also, don't let one possible misstep ruining all the goods that Mark has contribuate to our great game of POOL!

And I do say one possible mishap , if indeed it was a mishap, I don't know weather it was or wasn't, but I can quarantee you this, Mark did what he thought was the rite thing to do at that very intense moment!

No matter how hard we all try to do the right thing, sometimes the right thing is tough to come up with,!

Iam comfortable with Mark running any show, The Man is very , very trustworthy!

That word should never find itself in your mouth........

On the ABR interview Mark said "the intent of the event was to have 1 players advance from each group" CSI was consistent with this intent. And this has been used in other multiple-stage events all over the world. Most recently the World 9 Ball and how Warren Kiamco moved from the round robin to the next stage when the player that had defeated him was unable to compete. Since Ralf had not played in the next stage the position was open to be filled by the next highest player from Ralf's Group which was Shane. Ralf and Shane were tided and the tie breaker went to Ralf since he had won his match against Shane.

I don't understand why this is so hard to follow unless a person is limited to only bracketed tournaments and don't follow multiple stage events. I would say this is a no brainier but apparently the ones without brains have already posted and don't want to look at the Facts and want to use what a friend of a friend of a rail bird over heard or thinks they heard.

My frustration is not intended to ANYONE in the Thread but the Other Useless threads the keep popping up.

Also can someone show me how to block seeing post from selected people on AZ? Like in FaceBook when You get tired of seeing comments from some people.

Sorry if this was long but just had to vent!

Thanks for the kudos. Mark and team CSI made a decision and the more I look at the facts the more I agree with it. Ralf caused a big problem, forfeits in a round robin should never happen as it ruins the event.
