Thanks Bud! I was there once. I loved the place and Mark was everything I'd hoped. Friendly, easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and his lessons were great. Very professional and thorough.

He invited me to come down for a weekend and get into action. Out of muy league I'm afraid as he has some very good players come by his place including Jeanette Lee herself.

Thanks again for the info. I won't lose it this time.

Here is Mark's website Jim. Hope this helps you out.

Thanks! I had completely forgotten about the website! All my favorites got wiped out a couple years back and I've been lost ever since. I suppose some of that is I'm getting to be a geezer.

????????????

Make sure Mark is going to show up for his appt. He stood me up and it cost me some cash. (plane ticket ect.) I hear he is a great guy but I will never know for sure. I was not going to post anything about this, but I would hate to see some one on here loose money and time. Yes I realize some of you will not be happy with this reply but its the truth and this is the last I have to say about it.

jim s. Mark Wilson and Jeanette Lee

Not only was Ms. Lee there but more importantly, Williebetmore and i were there providing security.

I heard they had security there because they knew you were coming! ;)

Sure wish Collinsville was not 3 1/2 hours away. Marks room is the kind of place I'd have to frequent daily. Three perfect GC's. The only downside is The Redbirds!

If there was ever a way to franchise Mark's place it would be Pool Heaven... Not too Big, Not Too LOUD, everyone there is Pool consciences.

Jims,
I guess you are guilty of not memorizing all of my posts. The action at the Billiards Bullpen is plentiful because Mark will assign a spot that is fair for both players. See this thread for some details (down the first page):

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=48530

I've seen one of the pro's match up against Donny the Destroyer (banger who does not try to pocket balls; rather he forcefully tries to get as many balls in motion as he can, hoping something will slop in - he is incredible to watch as his strategy is often quite successful) - get down 4-0 in a race to 5 at 9-ball; then come back to defeat Donny 5-4. Of course the pro was spotting the last 6 balls, but dang it was a great match.

Small stakes action was virtually continuous while I was there. To summarize; every player (any and all skill levels) that came in was willing to match up with either the pro or the spaz (me), sight unseen, using whatever spot Mark devised. I heard not one single negotiation of weight (just of amount or length of match). What a cool place; I can't wait to return.

P.S. - the lock artists around St. Louis will not get rich at Mark's place.

WoW! What a great thread that was. I wasn't around when you posted that. I took a hiatus of almost 18 months and hadn't returned when that thread was posted.

I have however memorized every thread of yours since I came back.

I gotta get back to see Mark.
