Mark's book was due out in the Fall of 2007.

Do any of you know the status of the book?
Thanks,

I have heard nothing so far.

He lives here near St Louis. When I was at his room a couple months back I got the impression it was delayed because of not getting the graphics/artwork the way he liked. Table diagrams and all that. He seemed a bit frustrated at whoever was doing the computer drawings so I didn't push it. When I find out anything I will probably be one of the first people to advertise it on here. He's been a great friend to our family for 20 years. He also has one of the few pool rooms I will play in besides my own. Best maintained tables in the area. (Yes, better kept than mine I have to admit)

I better vacuum tonight now that I think of it.

I saw a manuscript last time I saw Mark. Like Craig said, it was pretty much ready to go except for the graphics. He drew them by hand in his manuscript, and he was looking for someone to turn them into suitable publish-ready artwork.

Mark should contact Wei Chao, inventor of the Wei table. I'm sure Wei would use his program to produce superior, accurate diagrams for Mark's book...and at a very reasonable cost. The fact is, Mark could use the program to print out the diagrams himself, for free, if he wanted to.

I second Wei. He and his program would be good for this. I don't know if he can tweak high res images out of the program or not.

Another valuable resource and one that hasn't been used to the best of my knowledge is CAD. I think 3D computer graphics is the way to go for the ultimate visualization. I wish I used CAD. A good CAD user could volunteer his time and get credits in Mark's Instructional book.

You might find this hard to believe since Mark is such a nice guy but he is a friend of mine.

Background on his book. It should be out this summer, he is shooting for June. Delays have been due to editing & not really a delay to find someone for diagramming. He is on his 3rd editor & because the current editor is in California, they sometimes have trouble arranging suitable times to go over his book. The diagramming of the book is 'taken care of' & once the book is out, all will see who is going to get credit for that.

Mark plans a book tour once it comes out. This can only be a good thing for pool as their is not a finer ambassador for our game.

I have an autographed copy promised to me - I hope everyone gets a copy of Mark's book when available.

Everytime I hear about Mark's place, I get sooooo jealous. Lets see.....great tables, easy to watch action, food looks good, great instruction by a really nice guy. Why is this the exception rather than the rule ????

I seriously thought I heard it was supposed to be released in 2005? Wasn't that once posted on his site?
Either way, it can't come out quick enough!
