BACOTE into very dark, rich purpleheart.

Dark, close grained, std. taper sft with MASON H yel mic ferrl.

As expected fit and finish is top shelf.

I like cues which feature a STIFF, SOFT hit with FEEDBACK and this cue delivers.

Bocote handle/points on some rosewood?
Good luck in making balls with that without dinging the balls. :)

Looks more like bocote into cocobolo sneaky, possibly very dark purple. Should hit fine, with a harder feel.

"Forearm" looks like dark purpleheart to me....or some kind of rosewood with a purple hue.....but my PC Monitor colors are always all jacked up...........

Since we're all guessing...............
Laos Flamewood........full length......

Great Cue Adam, I like Bacote into Purple Heart. Great guy to buy it from to, I am certain you will be happy with it. I have a couple of freinds who bought cues from Mason, and they will not sell them for anything.

Have a great night, and I hope the cue you have up for sale sells very soon. That cue is also made by an very good cue maker, and with the Davis blank you can't go wrong. Not to mention that the price is also very good.

Good guess, my thoughts initially, too. I could see the splice & the grain texture change, though. You ever use any of that Laos rosewood?

My eyes must be getting bad............I didn't see the splice the first time I looked.
Never have used any of the stuff but looked at a lot of it. Hard, heavy, resembles coco but without all the oil from I'm told.

Looks AWESOME to me!

......well, if for some reason you find that the cue just really isn't quite what you like, please let me know :)

Maybe we could figure out some sort of trade or something ;)
