I wonder if Sayginer has done, or would do, a "What's in the case?" video
.... I can't look on youtube at work but you might look...

The Kamui medium will probably work ok for you. I prefer a harder tip due to the beating it will take from 90 degree masse/pique shots (not sure of spelling)

Some people will say only this tip or that tip will work but almost all of them will work ok, but some last longer than others. If you are doing hard forceful masse shots go with a harder tip that can hold up to the abuse. Most of the masse shots in my videos are done with a talisman medium tip. And it has held up to all of the abuse that I have given it.

If you get the kamui black beware that you may get some black marks on your cloth from the tip, I know first hand

good luck,
Chris

I have a triangle on my masse cue (Crown Cues). I know many of the trickshot artists that like a softer tip. I think it's largely a matter of personal preference.

Use what you are comfort with. Or have extra Shafts make with different tips.

Surprise you didn't ask the question about shaft diameter which also is a matter of what comfort. Neu 's Monster Dieckman Masse Cue have a 15mm tip, I got a 16mm tip soft from Mexico. Standard seem to be 14mm.

Seach Az, this issue/subject been discuss numerous time.

Final words: Use what you are comfort with, less maintenance, and get the result you want.

There is absolutley no *Artistique or Trick-Shot* you can t do with any Standard-Tip. No matter if it s layered or non-layered.

Bigger diameter tips do seem better for extreme spin shots but you might have a hard time finding 16mm replacement tips. I have 2 shafts for mine both 14mm one hard and one extra hard tip.

How Playing Field and Rayman?? Any words on Todd (Parrot Cues), just view my earlier thread. PM me if you got question.

Spankylee - We get most requests for the Sniper tip on the masse' cues. For folks who don't want to put out much money for a tip, they often choose the Karomi tip. The Moori Medium is also popular. Those are the 3 most often requested tips on our cues. (Crown Cues)

Send a PM to Jamison Neu. He knows a thing or two about masse, and I'm sure he would give you some advice about tips.

many (if not most) artistic carom players do use Elkmaster tips on their masse shafts .

Masse Tips.

Ok here we go.

Jump Masse - Medium to hard tip........Sniper or Med ium Black Kamui
Rocket Masse - Soft Soft Soft.........Kamui

Most other shots can be one with just a plain Soft Kamui.

In the Rocket Masse or extreme spin masse' shots, you want the tip to sort of wrap around the ball as you hit it.

Hope this helps
