Some one was also picking on his levels on a post in the main forum. Just my opinion: NO ONE HAD THEIR TABLES PERFECT IN THE BEGINNING.Wonder why the tables have bad rolls?
Is that a carpenter level? Wouldn't that only be used as a level base (straight edge) to set your machinist level on, and on the bare frame at that?Wonder why the tables have bad rolls?
What's wrong with using a carpenters level, Ernesto uses themIs that a carpenter level? Wouldn't that only be used as a level base (straight edge) to set your machinist level on, and on the bare frame at that?

Why is a carpenter level on the slate? I'd hate to see what else is wrong with the table.

A carpenter's level is not the right tool for the job regardless of who's using it.Faux experts pretend to be rocket scientist know it alls.
They for most part think before opening mouth and look stupid.
Joeyincali is world class expert, but I wonder if pool tables mechanic is another sort of part time venture when duty calls?
Tools are are only as good a person using them.
I don't care how good a carpenter you are, if all you have is a tack hammer, you're NOT driving in spikes with it.Faux experts pretend to be rocket scientist know it alls.

Maybe Bruce is an expert table leveller.A carpenter's level is not the right tool for the job regardless of who's using it.
Imagine that, someone else that can work on pool tables??? You get that table right Ernesto!!!View attachment 634927
Looks like they smartened up and hired Ernesto after all the complaints . And that ain't a carpenter's.

A requirement to be a great table mechanic, is to ALWAYS carry the right tools for the job with you at all times!
Only problem is, the C channel aluminum frame won't stay level, don't care who levels it. Not to mention is does nothing to keep the slates from flexing because if the frame flex, which will flex MORE than SLATE will....SNAP, oh yeah, its already happened, several timesView attachment 634927

You make absolutely no sense, if a professional mechanic is on the job, why on earth would he need a Swiss army knife, he SHOULD have all his tools with him already, and not forgotten his MACHINIST LEVELS!Well I get what you are saying in perfect world you would have right tool for every job.
Sometime you have to survive with what is available, and improvise, adapt, and overcome.
SWISS army knife dose many thing not too well, but better then no knife.

Define an expert pool table mechanic so everyone here can know as wellProfessional should have the right tools. A DYI PERSON will try and get by without investing fortune in tools.
Best avenue is hire expert for special jobs, but lots of folk love doing thing themselves.
Are you this dumb ?Well I get what you are saying in perfect world you would have right tool for every job.

It still boggles me Pred would spend all that kind of money on marketing and promotion and skimp on R&D and consultation. On
