Well I'm ready to hit the outside industries....I'm thinking book stores?

Hi Robin,

Just got the DVD yesterday. I watched once. You did a great job, it looks great and your instruction is clear. I see why I have been having such inconstancy with my jumping for years. I will be adding it to my bags of tricks.

I have one question on it but will be watching the DVD a couple more times to see if it answers it self.

I would suggest this video for any level player that isn't comfortable and happy with their jumping ability.

PS That was a sick jump with the balls not only that close but using a pendulum stroke vs a dart stroke.

Very Cool!!! I love the follow through style...because I have total control I don't change my method of shooting pool....but I have to admit...the more you know the better your game. So both styles have their place.

Hi Robin,

Sent you that paypal for Tadpole last night. Decided to see if it will help me hop easier.

And once again, if anyone is more than a casual pool player, even a skill level 3 going to 4, get Mastering The Jump Shot. It's a well produced DVD, and the instruction is great.

Thanks Robin

I'm not crazy about the idea of a break jump cue. I know they've improved but years ago YUCK!
I have tried a lot of other peoples jump cues at my booth I test them to see if they work. But I do not know the name of them. I of course like the Frog or Tadpole....I know them because they are mine. But I have tried my customers and they all seem to jump pretty easy to me.
I hear, Jacoby and Mike G. make good jump cues too.
Sorry I can't be more help.
Hi Robin,

Do you have any comments about the weight of a jump cue? A lot of jump cue advertisements emphasize how light their jump cues are (say 8 ounces). Are the lighter jump cues better than the heavier ones that weigh in around 9-10 ounces?

I'm not an expert on Jump Cues....but I will tell you what I think.

To light is not good...why? Well I lose control of the shot...its too light and I can't really feel the shot.
That being said...I do not like a heavy jump cue either...The Frog was heavier then the Tadpole...I did like the Frog but once I understood how to REALLY jump the Tadpole blew the Frog away. So now they are both made the same (like a tadpole just different colors.... (not that fancy...maybe not even the best anymore...but I am use to them and they work great for me).
I say.. don't go to light..but not to heavy...the key.... Less is Best...if you can have a smooth stroke...and follow through the the cue jumps... you Scored!!! After you have Mastered the Jump shot...you will notice which jump cue works the best.
Until then....understand what yours will and what it won't do...and play your game with it.

Robin,

I finally got a chance to watch the video I picked up from you at the APA, and all I can say is wow!

I've watched you "do your thing" at all the shows for years, but I really like the video. Thank you, it will definitely help me to be a better player.

As for jump cue weights, I think you are right on. I like about 9 ounces on a longer 3 piece jump cue, but lighter when you get down to a 2 piece and 40 or 41 inches long.

Thanks again!

Cool, thanks for the review Royce! So many have come in from here and over at Facebook, I'm trying to save them all for marketing purposes.
Thanks again!

Finally,I found some tome to watch the video this morning. I felt that Robyn took the pool instruction to a different level- especially in the area of technique of teaching a concept. She gave a sprinkle of Hollywood ( acting ) to the instruction and I loved it. She explained every minute issue related to jumping the cue ball very well. Besides being educational, the video was also entertaining.

My book is getting attention...a screen writer is interested...the lady that is writing the book is still hmmmmm forget the wording but she is doing the query....and typing out what we talked about she taped it.
I sure would love to see this take off!!!
I just can't imagine opening up Nehemiah's its a reality waiting to happen.

Robidn,

Received my Tadpole yesterday. Thank you.

Went and tried it, it jumps very easy, now I am ready to re, re, re-watch the DVD. I was jumping quite easy with it.

If there would be one critic on the cue, the wrap. It has that rough feeling to it (put for the price, can't really complain). I might have it rewrapped and pressed (I like my wrap as smooth as my shaft).

agreed, the wrap isn't the best, the guarantee is though....it’s for life as my husband would say...my life.

Well i looked into the rewrap today. I think I will stick with it as is. I'm sure it might help me to feel the cue more;).

Have you ever tried the shooting shaft for jumps? Wonder how it would differ. Might be fun to experiment after I really feel good with the jump shaft.

Thanks again, and I hope your DVD sells big (at least everywhere but my area, I want to have something over them:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:).
