Matchroom 2023 UK Open (nineball), 30May-4June, Winner $30K

Do we know how MR classifies "long pot success"?

Do we know how they classify "safety errors"?

I believe Accu-Stats goes by "harder than a spot shot" for the first, and for the second, if the player wins the rack on the inning after the opponent safety. (or maybe makes the next ball?)
A safety error for Accu-Stats is if the opponent pockets a ball on his next turn (excluding kick-ins) or misses a shot that is easier than a spot shot.

[Don't know about Matchroom]

"I looked at the trophy, it looks good, it's heavy, it's a pretty nice one and I would like to take it home" -Kaci

Biting words from Kaci.
I am be wrong but am guessing Kaci will steal this from Filler in this match between 2 "bad boys" of pools. :ROFLMAO:Kaci is the villain who outvillains the Killer. From his disrespectful 5 rail kick (with BIH) to blaming commentator for missing 9 ball in quarterfinal, Kaci is "bad"
Table conditions will change and don't think the table will break as well as semifinals. Kaci has been consistently breaking well in different table conditions, is better safety tactical player plus no one has won consecutive majors for past few years

I wish they would quit referring to Kaçi as going for his first major event title like this. He is the reigning World 10-Ball champion, having won that just 3 months ago in a field loaded with top players.

Edit -- you beat me to it iutbr!

Lot of empty seats. I think England has poorest attendance. Matchroom had better crowds in Germany.

2 x World 10 Ball Champion. Twice within 3 years. Only one to win it twice in short W10B history
It's so funny that MR is about completely ignoring any non MR titles. Karl and JJ must be rolling their eyes every time Phil says if Kaci wins this would be the biggest title of his career.
I cringe every time they keep saying whoever wins this or that MR title is famous in their country. Like they say FSR/Alcaide winning World Cup of Pool are famous get hero welcome in Spain. Reality is pool is still such fringe sport that outside of pool universe in almost every country in world (except maybe for Philippines), mainstream folks don't know care or know anything about pool or their country's top players. One only has to look at Youtube viewership for this event. Miserable numbers low 6 figures at most

I had more people watching Earl Vs Shane on a Wednesday from my pool hall.

In basketball they have these "win $10k if you score in the basket from half court" shows.

Which challenge could we have in pool to win $10k?

12-4. Kaci on the hill.
Push out, filler gives it back to Kaci. He plays a slightly botched safety. So Filler gets a shot!

Edit: Filler sees full ball but he fails his safety gving Kaci a thin cut. Kaci makes it and now has an open table.
Well the man played flawless.

I wonder what will happen to these Diamond tables in Europe. Do any of the mechanics there know the Cobra's way of gluing the cloth to the edge of the slate? They might be completely lost since there is no wood strip for staples under the slate.

Kaci played great
Made 1 ball on the break so many times
Came with 2 banks to get out
Filler didn't do much wrong

It would have to be something pretty special to get more prize money than the winner gets for most pool tournaments 😂😂😂
