Matchroom Premier League Pool (PLP) (14-21 Feb2022), nineball, 9ft, Winner $20K

Shane Hill-Hill in a battle of a match with Albin with a Finals birth on the line. I'd love to know Shane's heart rate through those last two outs.

They’ve been waiting 5 min to break. Shane is twiddling his thumbs probably thinking he’d rather be fishing. Albin has his head down like he’s meditating.

I wonder why MR rebranded the event from Champion's League Pool (CLP) to Premier League Pool (PLP)? I know they changed the format slightly, but it really is the same event. The commentators even stated such. I like the word "Champion's" better than "Premier".

I kind of like the change from "Champion's" to Premier, since not everyone invited is necessarily a world champion.

I don't get the "League" part. But perhaps league has a different connotation in the UK than we have here. I know they're trying to increase the appeal in the UK. Does anyone know about differences in the meaning on "league?"
