I like the way they have the American events running consecutively. Great for the traveling pool player who does this full-time, keeping them on the WNT tournament trail.

Going by that list, its nice to see a lot more events in america this year! At lest they stuck to there promise they made, at the mosconi, about doing more in the states🙂

In a similar vein I'm glad there is only a few days between the Scottish and UK open. Means there is more chance of a strong playing field for the Scottish open, which is the closest event to me.

Yes. When tournaments are held in close geographical proximity, particularly back-to-back, the logistics are significantly improved, resulting in decreased travel fatigue and lower transportation costs. It also ensures better rest and preparation for the tournament.

This is just superb. The globalization of our sport continues, and it is still Matchroom that does it best. A worthy American player can make some decent money without leaving America and with three majors on American soil (Florida, US Open 9ball, Arizona Open), they can qualify for Team USA without overseas travel.

The BCA pool league has posted dates for its major event through 2030 but the biggest tournament in pool still doesn’t have a date for this year? Embarrassing.

Looks like we're getting a ceasefire between the USA and Iran.

I'm really hoping this means the event in Saudi goes ahead. The players deserve a huge prize pot.

I think the Saudis will want to show that tourism is back open, so they will be keen to host the event.

Fingers crossed!

I'm rooting for the Saudis here, too, but wouldn't it be nice if some of them showed up to the WPC. It's awfully hard to take an event seriously when it is , so often, played in front of an empty arena.

Just watched the Zielinski/Seoa vs Bergman/Fu mixed doubles match, and they played in front of a full arena consisting of very enthusiastic fans. That's what we ought to get at the WPC but, alas, we do not.

Then again, we got a very enthusiastic crowd at the WNT Florida Open last summer, so Matchroom knows how to generate a great buzz at its events.
