Beautiful work Bob! Only a hand-full of craftsmen can do this.

Congrats Matt but I thought you were going to have Bob build a fancy one?
Just kidding with ya my friend, I hope it's just the way you wanted it. Looks perfect to me.

Thanks for the kind remarks.

The wood is a piece of BEM that Bob Owen had saved. After he & I discussed a dark stain, he mentioned having something that was ideal for the cue.

I don't receive the cue until Thursday....today being Monday. Based upon reviewing the photos, if this wasn't my cue, I'd also be posting complimentary remarks.

Thank you Mr. Owen....IMO, you really did came thru in bottom of the 9th with a walk-off home run.....I do hope you enjoyed the experience as much as I have.

Matt B.

p.s. Batter Up....next at the plate ......Jerry Rauenzahn!

Great looking cue, I bet you wish it was Thursday. Nice execution MR. Owen
and nice design Matt, lots of work in that cue. Congrats to you both on the cue.

Great looking cue
far out wood in the front

glad to see Matt get a nice one,he is a fun guy to work with
I like to see it when people are so enthusiastic over their new cues

we have heard so much about this cue especially about the wrap. Do thing it is done now!!!

And to think I was offering top dollar for some #12 and was even thinking about raising my offer but there was never even a nibble at my offer of $175 for 50 yds #12 Cortland.

i have a friend who had Andy gilbert convert a titlist for him.. he went with the cortland.. it was $200 UP charge from Andy.. and that was because he was building the cue, i imagine it could even be higher the harder it is to get..

The wrap looks fantastic. Now I know why Bava was fussing over the stuff. Didn't get what he wanted originally but it looks silky smooth.

Thursday will be here in no time.

Hey dom.....IMO....the white with black speck version (Cortland Linen #12) would have helped this cue design.

Anyway, I am pleased with my cue and Bob Owen made the entire experience worthwhile & totally enjoyable.

So today I drop by Diamonds in Fresno and there was a tournament.
This was the first time this new cue was unveiled at an event and the audience review was "over the top".

Three instant offers to buy my cue.....price apparently wasn't even an issue to any of those buyers....and several others asking if it was for sale.

The test performance of my cue by my pals who tried the cue included....."Oh my God....Amazing.....Several deep gasps of breath followed
by 'Oh my'......I didn't know a cue could feel this way." The reviews were over the top favorable and it just floored me.

People did not believe that a light cue with a flat ivory joint was a combination they'd ever consider and there were some converts today. My '07 Owen cue
that I have listed for trade is now being considered by two pals who tried that cue today, but only after I laughed at their comment about wanting to buy my one.

I also sold my Centennial set today at the tournament but the best part today was the reaction to my new cue.
People didn't know how great....a genuinely superb......hit & feel Bob Owen cues have.....well, at least my two Owen cues do.

THANK YOU BOB OWEN.

Matt
