"First, I am forever grateful to everyone who has helped my family with both financial and emotional support following the loss of my husband, Mike Cochran. The outpouring of generosity after my husband's passing allowed me to focus on what needed to be done without worrying about financial issues. I have spoken numerous times with Nick Serdula, most recently over the sale of one of Mike's cues. Although I am extremely touched by Nick's intentions to sell his cues and send a portion of the sale to me I told him that I would much rather him keep Mike's cues to remember him by. I know that when Mike was designing cues for a specific person he tried to incorporate something special for that particular individual. Mike put his heart and soul in his work and I would want the person the cue was designed for to stay with that individual and not be sold on my benefit. Mike would want them to keep what he created for them. Every keepsake is precious to me right now and I asked Nick to keep any MC Cues so that when he looks at them he will be reminded of Mike - a kind and generous person."

Mrs. Cochran,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Mike had a positive influence on everyone he dealt with, as i'm sure you know. Our community will miss him, as well as his contributions to the billiard community. Your suggestion to nick shows you are a quality individual in your own right. Thank you for allowing us to hear from you here on the forums.All the best,
Dana

Rembering Michael with a smile is easy.

It has been my pleasure. Mr. Steve P. and Erich S. and Tony S. put me to shame with their genorousity I am afraid.
Thank you for allowing my family's help,
Nick and Karen Serdula

I met your husband on two different occassions at the shop. My wife & 6yr old son was with me last June 2009. I wanted my wife to meet Mike and see the beautiful cues in the different stages at the shop to get an idea of how much work goes into a cue build. Mike showed her around the shop & she was absolutely blown away by all the cues and there beauty. When we got back on the road she said to me ''That Mike sure knows a thing or two about cues doesn`t he'' at which I replied he sure does & he puts his heart and soul into every cue build. My deepest condolences goes out to your entire family for your loss. God Bless you & Thank you for posting.

Mrs. Cochran;

I never met Mike in person but did speak with him a number of times on the phone. He was always most generous with his time and his great sense of humor always came out as we shared some memorable laughs.

He was obviously mega-talented, very funny and especially kind.

My thoughts and prayers remain with you and your family.

Best,

Brian KC

Connie,

It's clear from your words that Mike married a lady with the same class and dignity that he possessed. My sincerest condolences are with you.

Thank you for kind words for us. I think of Mike every time I hold a cue he worked on and always will.
