Any azers out there have a 1oz weight bolt that will fit a McDermott Star cue? My son picked it out (ebay/ pawn shop) & its only 17oz w/o a weight bolt. I was hoping to get it up to 18oz for him. If anyone has 1, PM me what your looking for it. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Jeff

PS; Forgot to mention, mine has a 3/4 inch threaded weight bolt

Hi,

I have McDermott weight bolts, and can send you one..

Are you 100% sure it is the 3/4" bolt (and not the more common 1/2" McDermott weight bolt)? I ask because Im a McDermott dealer and dont know of too many newer McDermott or Star cues that use the larger diameter'd weight bolt...

Take a look at their chart, I have both kinds (the chart doesnt show 1oz in the 3/4", but I'll cut one to 1oz for you if thats what you need).

PM me and let me know which one you want, along with your shipping address and I'll get whichever one you want out to you in the morning..

I'm looking for an aluminum weight bolt for a McDermott C-model cue. The bolt for my cue looks like the one in this link.

Same weight bolt as the D Series.

Most people are looking for lighter ones. So they are indeed hard to find.

I believe somebody was stocking those again, but they only have a couple or three weights. Maybe Muellers?

I think I have seen you ask before. I feel like we have been down this road. Somebody has got to have one....

The next thing is to find the original brown, green, red, or blue McDermott bumpers. Heck even a proper original black McDermott bumper is a find. Somebody is sitting on weight bolts and bumpers.

In the link I posted earlier, manwon wrote this about my C-series weight bolt:

"The thread size is 3/8 -16 and this weight bolt style was used until early 1990 not just for C-Series. Standard weight bolts being made today are the same thread size as the old McDermott weight bolts. The only change that must be made is that the top of the bolt must be machined to smaller diameter to fit the older McDermott butts."

If that is correct, could this nylon bolt be substituted with a little rework on the top of it to make the bumper screw attach?

I used a socket head nylon screw to decrease the weight. Had to file down the outside diameter to make it fight.

You must get the same length to reach the threads. Maybe you can cut off 1/4"+
