McWorter cue restoration

Is there a good reason to have McWorter restore one of his cues, or would it be "okay" to have someone else do it? I've had no luck reaching Jerry to find out if he'll take it on. I'm nearly ready to have someone else do it. The cue needs a refinish and may need repair at the A joint.

Are you sure you're calling a working number for Jerry? That is not like him to shine a customer who owns one of his cues. Of course he'd be the number one guy to talk with. No harm at all, however, of having another competent cuemaker do the work, especially since the cue is more in the player category and not a super high end cue with inlays. I know a few West Coast cuemakers who excel in the repair realm with reasonable prices. PM if you'd like a suggestion Karl.

Man i like that cue

It was a player as you can see. It's far from perfect, but it still plays great. Should be into it $1k or a little more when it is restored. I think that's reasonable for a McWorter.

Repair at the A joint....I'd wait for Jerry....it's his cue, after all.
....if Jerry remains incommunicado....RAT cues at Meulers

Damn...time flies! Hopefully you have a nice poolroom up there!

he might have a perfect one on his property. Got to see some pics of the designated spot when he moved in there.

Karl, did you get that done?

If so, pls post some pics.

You do know how to take pics, right? :grin-square::thumbup::grin-square:

cool McWorter, btw.

I was kicking around moving closer to family, but it turns out that I'm likely to stay here for a while. I hope to have my room put together within a couple months. Looking for a carpet remnant right now.
Got a pretty good deal on the McWorter, by the way
