Meng Meng showed up at the JPNEWT event today at Prime Time in Sayreville, NJ. This is a qualifier for Vegas. She seemed much improved from what i saw in Taiwan last year. Miss Zhou is a mainland Chinese, from Shanghai I believe.

Anyway she was deadly today winning 3 matches vs strong NEWT'rs, 7-0, 7-2, 7-0 missing on average 2 balls per match and each match was 35 minutes or under. She will play Morgan Steinman tomorrow at noon for the hotseat. If you are in the area, you might want to catch this rising star.

Nostroke,

Who did she play yesterday? I had to set up and run due to a family issue. Mic was telling me her matches were going quickly (a la GYK), but didn't tell me who she played.

Yeah- She was big into 'fur' at the WPC in 2006 and alone in that distinction. As i said before, she marches to her own drummer.

Wow and Dawn was on the losers side early and even Carol's daughter had her 4-4 on day 1-crazy!

I didnt see her play but i heard the score. Dawn had to take a break at 4-4.

Mic's going to call me when it's all said and done because Peg needs to know the winner, but am I right when I hear that Dawn's on the hill in the forced race to 9?

Im pretty sure it's faux fur-sorry to mislead.

Dawn Fox from Tennesee pulled it out!! It was killer final from what I heard!! Dawn came from the 1-loss side to reach 7 games first to force the finals to 9 games for each player.

The finals format is:

If the undefeated player reaches 7 games first in the finals, the match is over. If the player from the 1-loss side of the chart reaches 7 games first, they must play out to a race to 9.

Congrats Dawn Fox!!
