meucci help

I have an original 80-2 or an 84-2 i would guess around 80 to 85% condition I was wondering what the value might be and how can i tell which model i have exactly. It was a lucky find at the local pawn shop i picked it up bc of the old logo not a real fancy cue but seems to play well. I think it has the original meucci ferrule still. IMG_0003.jpg

You need to post a picture of the cue, include a close up
Of the joint pin because the material of the metal can
Help date the cue and also a close up of the buttcap and the rubber
Bumper it has..

Sorry I am new to the site and cant post pics yet but the bumper is not the old round one or has been replaced sometime earlier. Is there a big difference in price from the 80 to 84 series? Not sure the material of pin either but what material would it be? I was pleasantly surprised with this cue i purchased it because it had old logo but was shocked to see how straight the cue is and to be honest I dont think the man at pawn shop knew much about it either bc he sold it to me cheap so any info on either model would be greatly appreciated thanks
 
It is very possible that what you have is the exact first 84 series cue, but, in the second release edition as then you don't have round bumpers. Again, photo's will help or send them to me and I can check for you. My email address is sales@cdand.com

The bumper has been replaced i dont think the bumper thats in the cue now is a meucci bumper at all it looks nothing like any of theirs will try to post pics soon

The value between the 1980 and 1984 would be the same. No one will know the difference anyway.:thumbup:
 
If the forearm is warped - $30-40 basically a worthless cue.
if the handle is warped - $50-60 takes a splice and dice new handle
If the butt is straight , no cracked plastic anywhere:
straight shaft- $130-150
warped shaft- $ $100-120

80 - 85% cond means a refinish in my opinion.

Cue at 100% refinished - $180- 230 not really worth the refinish or work.

Thanks guys all the info is appreciated i remember back in the 80's all my uncles played with meucci cues so ive always been a fan even though i read alot of not so good posts about them i now have three in my collection and always looking for more but i was wondering why they would have the same cue in two different series or are they the same cue? I saw the budget cue web page and the only difference i see between the two cues is that the forearm in the 84-2 looks more grainy in the wood as compared to the 80-2 if that makes sense the cue i have looks more like the 80-2 pic more than the 84-2 i think but im still not certain
 
Would be willing to part with the cue but i have no idea what the value is. The cue is not perfect it has been used since the 80's it has few scuffs and dings but I think the cue is pretty straight For a meucci I would be willing to trade for a gambler or road agent or other meucci also interested in huebler if there is any interest shoot me an offer we might make some kind of deal thanks everyone
