Meucci Originals M-15 "City of Lights"/"Road Agent" MINT!

oh darn...

Well, my car insurance bill arrived, and a road player needs his/her car, so, bump...

In all reality, this cue is like 100%. I have seen new cues in worse condition. (In
reference to my previous comments). The cue shines like new everywhere, so
I hope I did not give the wrong impression earlier.

Well, I am not able to capture the most vivid colors in this sunset that I have ever seen.
If anyone knows why bright and pure red shows up as dull orange with a digital camera,
PLEASE post, or PM me.

I noticed this in the three ball in this recent photo I snapped:

Again, many thanks for any info. I'm hesitant to even list the cue on ebay, since it's
impossible for me to depict the true brilliance and unsurpassed craftsmanship in this cue.

If you still have the manual for the camera or can access one online, check out the white balance setting for the camera. You may have it switched to a light source other than the one you are using. Also, many cameras allow you to set the white balance manually to the lighting conditions you are using. That will help with more accurate colors, if you can do it.

You will also have better color rendition with the ASA of the camera set at a lower setting, ie, ASA 100 versus ASA 400.

First, I want to thank you bamacues (the mesmeriser) :) for the advice. Yes, there is a white balance setting, and MANY more things that I have not yet figured out, about this "camera". Also, I need to re-read the threads about photographing cues, as the lighting appears to be another major factor.

Second, I want to state that the shafts included are the original shafts, and thus fit perfectly. I've had some questions in this regard. One still has a finish (varnish?) on the entire shaft, shines in the light from head to toe, and looks like it maybe hit a dozen balls!

Third, I've been in contact with a possible buyer, although he is 750 miles away, and if I was to hand deliver the cue (road trip!) I'd be looking at a couple days, about $200 in train fares, or god knows how much in gasoline/wear/tear if I drive. (In a 1995 car) :(

I really want whoever buys this cue to receive it in the beautiful pristine condition it is now. It spent its life in a display showcase, and I get a pit in my stomach thinking about handing it to a third party for shipping.

Unfortunately I need to guarantee the satisfaction of the buyer, and I need to get the funds into my checking account before the 16th, and I'm getting a little nervous. :(

I was hoping to get more for the cue, and thus lose less, since I have only possessed it for a couple months.

Anyway, like they say, cash talks.

Well looking for a buyer close to you is going to be tough. I dont see why you would have an issue shipping a cue Via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. I myself ship mostly USPS, if you are so worried about shipping pay the $25 to ship it overnight in the Triangular Express boxes. Bushka's, Szams, Scruggs, and numerous other cue makers ship their cues. No worries sir, just make sure you insure it.

Mothers' Day Sale

In (City of) Light of Mother's day:

This cue, if paid by paypal, or cash, can be had for $489 + shipping.

Shipping can be arranged in any reasonable means possible (FEDEX, UPS, USPS, etc.), including hand delivery, but you will pay my expenses on Amtrak. :)

Wow, am I doing this?

wow

Wow, I can't believe no one has snagged this cue, at that price.

And, the person who PMed me with a slightly less offer about a week ago, is ignoring my PMs now.

Anyway, I'm going to think about this until about noon, then probably take it of the market.

I don't know if this board is the wrong place to try and sell cues, but I certainly learned a lesson. :)

Hi. I was the guy that gave u the correct model of your Q. I have a large Meucci Originals collection, 100 +.

I have kept quiet until now to give u a good chance to sell your Q. However u seem to blame AZ for not having a sale. Unfortunately I think u gave too much when u bought the Q and it will b difficult to recoup your $. Actually 500 - 600 should NOT b out of the question. The old Meucci Originals are a well built Q. However, Meucci's just don't bring that hi of a price any more. Ever since Meucci lowered the quality of their Qs and have given very poor repair service they have gotten a bad name. The money is just no longer there. I have seen many times on ebay, mint top end (such as yours) Meucci Originals of that era go for 400 or a touch more. I personally got my Originals Road Agent (City of Lights) on ebay for 399.99 + 15 shipping. It is brand new with a 2nd shaft. I saw one new one go for 365 + shipping. I felt sorry for the seller as he did not set a reserve. AZ is a good place to sell Qs, but is more geared toward custom Qs.

Sorry to b the bearer of bad news.

That being the case, one (imo) would be better off hanging on
to an excellent condition original than dumping it now, as time
does turn things around.

Sold

The cue has been SOLD, to an AZ member.

And, Yes I agree, and feel that this board is not the place to try and sell rare and unique Meucci cues.

In fact, I'm not sure if that old M-10 (?) that Jerry Oliver reworked ever sold here. The one with the black "arrows" similar to the ones on the older Joss cues.

You're talking about the meucci 88-3 I had on here...I traded it to a collector/dealer at the fast eddies tour in houston for my ebony AE cue that I currently play with...It really was a beautiful cue in person but it didn't get a lot of interest on here...and man...I wish I had seen this cue earlier...I'm looking for a nice road agent.

88-3, yeh...

Yes, "88-3" :), that was so nice. I'm sure like the one I just sold, that pictures did not do it justice.

Sorry to have called it an M-10. Now, I remember yours had the original block letter logo. Wow. If I had not been on a quest to finally obtain a "city of lights", that fit my exact playing and admiring requirements, I would have snagged your cue.

I also saw an original, that was blue with a white wrap, (no points, similar to European series in appearance) go on ebay around that time for less than $200 or so. I was drooling, but "fundless" at the time. :(
