Meucci sale....???

Yeah I bought a brand new one in around 1985 and with in 6 months it warped and I always kept it in a case and no extreme temps.

Maybe a Chinese company will buy them and make good cues again.
My first Meucci in 1987 warped even faster than that. The dealer replaced it and the second cue is still straight (I sold it to a friend). My sneaky is also straight after 30 years.

That may be true, but its customer service that shows your true character and how you take care of people that buy your EXPENSIVE product. Hitler commanded some serious respect and created a hell of a brand with Nazism and "white power", but he's still an evil POS :ROFLMAO: Facebook created a damn good social app and media platform, but we all know what kind of person Mark Zuckerberg is.

And I just want to add that maybe if he had or would got on here every once in a while and defended his product and service, we wouldn't be where we are today. He can only blame himself for not taking the time to make things right with his customers. It shows a bigger picture.
I’m a better biz man than that

I just saw the quality of the cues slip over the years. Which is not acceptable

My sources say it was sold, crossing t's and dotting i's

Announcement could be forthcoming this week

imo Bob was brilliant in design/embellishment, esp his theme cues

Beginning in the mid/late 70's they had a very capable staff and with the exception of strong customer service they took care of biz

Quality took a hit on some occasions when the factory was running balls to the wall

Moving to Sledge, Ms in 89/90 was a mistake, the labor force was WEAK and quality took a major hit, in addition it's my understanding only one supervisor stayed with the company....sledge is apprx 70 miles from the Memphis area and most of the staff explored other opportunities. Imagine a illiterate labor force in a company that had minimal supervision and training capability

i stopped by the latest factory location a while ago and it was humming, the new products were intriguing. New management has something to build on.

i don't know who bought it, whether they're "pool" people, etc, etc, etc.

i wish them success

My guess and I truly hope not but that they are going to take the name and push cheaper products. Using the name purely to make money. Who knows. Just wish someone had hopped on board with him a while ago and straitened things out. Even shaw switched to cuetec.

... Facebook created a damn good social app and media platform, but we all know what kind of person Mark Zuckerberg is.

In our house, that name is spelled: Zuckerburglar.

POS stole the entire FB concept from his three Harvard "brothers" who hired Zuckerburglar as a paid workman to write the computer code required for their innovative social media concept and platform.

Lowest of the low.

The only cues in my 50 years of pool which have/had issues bear the name Meucci; and, it's not just warped shafts, but even one warped butt... wtf; and that pales in comparison to trying to deal with those people over the phone. Like calling a bar full of crazies at 2am, and looking to find someone articulate, cognizant, and can focus on the conversation for more than a few seconds. Ridiculous. - GJ

Shaw switched because Peri, not Cuetec, offered him way more $ than Meucci(or a lot of other makers to be honest) could match.

Maybe if we are really lucky just the name was sold and they will be made in China moving forward.

Sir, I would love to run a game pool with you. Well said. It’s a shame because I do like how he shapes/designs his cues. But nothing will make up for the rest.

Bob tried that a few years ago with a bullshit line of (mediucci, or something akin to that) cues made in china, the quality was so POOR that he pulled the plug licky de split

Well said.

His designs are wonderful; and, that is the real shame of the Meucci thing - aside from the poor quality of later years, horrid customer service, atrocious communication, and all the years of bad-will with the customers which was generated.

I would love to see those great designs back on the market; BUT, made by a quality, reliable, dependable, and honorable firm producing them, who will stand behind their product and with their customers. - GJ

It was a rigged sale! It will be overturned in the courts by Sydney Krakken and Rudy Gucci. The vacciine made Bob do it. The chip implanted in his head made him sell. Bill Gates made him do it!!! Totally fraudulent!!
