Maybe it's because I haven't gotten used to it, but I can't stand the weight and balance of the PowerBreak II. It feels very heavy, and apparently you can't adjust the weight. The weight feels as if it's all in the shaft. I like my breaker ~18.5 to 19oz, just slightly forward balanced.

take the metal rings out of the middle. that's how you adjust the weight of the PB2

The balance and the taper is extremly important *to feel well*. This is the first thing for me which has to be perfect. The tip itself is a subjective *feel thing* and can be changed easily. To say it *technically* you will increase the mph for example by changing from a hard leather tip to a special break tip between 5-8 %. (transfering engergy is just bit better- less loss).

JoeyA, laughing at the sentence above, waiting for Jive to ask for a spot.:grin: Recently, I had a TOP road player travel through town and when he first visited, he sat for three days watching me practice and compete and then told me that he was not in my league. One week later, he asks me to play some even up one pocket for 30-50 a game. I declined. One more week later he asks me to play and offers me 9-7 playing one pocket. I decline. :wink: The truth is I don't like a road player to play games with me. They're on the road because they are top players. :indecisive:

Haha Joey I'm fairly certain that the closest I will ever get to that road player you mentioned would be his getaway driver when he runs dry...I won't even bother asking for spots from you, I'd ask for some lessons from you if I'm ever in your part of town.
I'm glad you found info you require from my post. Main reason I have some of them info is cos I spend too much time meddling with equipments and too little time practicing pool...hmmm...
Honestly though, this Mezz cue you really gotta try before you buy cos I have guys who've tried it and hated it and friends who swears by it...pretty much a love hate relationship.

I use the Mezz Power Break Pro with the DI Pro shaft and it's hands down the best break cue I've ever used.
My second choice would be a Mezz Power Break DI (The first one).

Yep, it works great. I'm 6'2" and have no problem with the shorty at all. I don't grip way back on my break cue anyway. The only thing I don't personally like about it is the way it looks... I feel goofy breaking with it but that's just me. The look of the break cue shouldn't matter of course...
I've tried a few and I think the two best preforming are the Mezz PB2 and the Jacoby Edge. The Jacoby is without a doubt the best cue as far as cost is concerned. They use a barrel taper so it starts normal at the joint then gets larger and then once again, smaller. Laminated butt and shaft with 3/8 x 10 stainless pin.
Broke off the first six racks at State Tounament with my regular break cue at the time and was consistently at around 23-25 mph with one hopping off the table. One of the Jacoby reps offered to let me demo a cue and I immediately took note of the difference in feel/control along with an average gain of 3-4 mph on the radar. BreakShot proved the radar was off by a little over 2 mph!
Stupid story short... I like the Mezz PB2's length and balance but for me the Jacoby Edge seems to have an advantage in the way the butt is shaped and overall feel. They also started installing Samsara Break tips as standard equipment.
