Just got my Mezz Power Breal II with Deep Impact Shaft. Does anyone use one and what is their opinion of it's performance?

Thanks

I've had the pleasure to meet AZ poster "Mezz USA" in Vegas and try out both Power Break I & II break cues. Both with Deep Impact shaft.

Some of my friends preferred the Power Break II whereas I prefer the traditional lengh Power Break I. I broke way better with PB1.

PB2 is more "flexible" as it is jump/break cue with adjustable weight rings.

I ended up getting PB1 with rubber grip. I think it's one of the best break cue I've ever tried. And "Mezz USA" - Caroline - is really a fine person to buy from.

This may not be very much help but I have a PB shaft I bought from a poster here that I use on my Gilbert j/b. I replaced the original ferrule and put on a white diamond tip and the thing is lethal now.

I used mine for the first time today. In only a few pratice breaks I made and 8 on the break in 8 Ball and 2 9's on the break in 9 Ball. I miscued with that extremely hard tip but I roughed it up a tad with sandpaper and never miscued again. Do you rough the tip up often?

Thanks

Yes, always when I see it smoothing out.

Thanks...I never thought of it as a Jump/Break cue. I unscrewed the butt end and tried it and it works far better than my Jacoby custom jump cue...you made my day. Guess I will sell the Jacoby jump cue. More room in the case!!!

Thanks

Yeah, I got the j/b to match the player both with 5/16-14 joints.

I switched over to the Mezz PBII for about a little over a month now and I like it much better than my old predator BK2. The rings allow you to adjust the weight by taking a few of the rings off or adding a couple more (5 is the max number of rings it says on their site). The break cue is shorter which works better for me because i like to choke up on the cue for more power. The shaft of my mezz break cue feels stiffer than the predator bk2 so i feel like more of my energy is being transferred to the cue ball since its not bendy like the bk2. I think a few people got to try the Mezz break cues that Caroline brought with her to vegas and she sold all the ones she had with her. hope this helped.
