Well i played a few hours with my new Mezz, i like the shaft , its a stiff shaft , seems like english is applied much easier ,than my lucasi , what should i do besides keep playing with it to get used to it? i heaard some peop hate them and some love them , i guess it depends on the player who can compensate , my Mezz doesnt have a high end shaft its a normal stiff hiting shaft , thats how we ordered it to keep cost down:thumbup:
 
I have a mezz shaft alpha, and mezz wd700 shaft, they both are really good shafts, my playing one right now is the alpha, because I like the thicker the shaft is.

it is one of the best shafts I ever played with, and my friends liked the shaft, and now I have 2 friends who uses Mezz shafts aswell, I think the japs do an awesome job in production, its constant and beautiful, keep shooting with them and you will get used to it in no time, good luck
 
When I went to Blatt Billiards to have my cue looked at, I spoke with Victor Stein, the guy who wrote the billiards encyclopedia, said Mezz probably makes one of the finest production cues out there and his book has pictures and pictures of antique and ornate cues.

I've played with a friend's Alpha Hybrid and it's a nice hitting cue. I always preferred a stiff and solid hit when it comes to cues.
 
i just had it turned down a bit and i like it a bit better now but feel i could go down to 12.75 like my lucasi
 
i ordered my cue with a standard shaft ,its a long story , thats why its 13 i did tell them12.75 but im not sending it back wen i can fix it myself
 
Mezz Hybrid Pro II

Started playing with a Mezz Hybrid Pro II since the end of May. Love the stiff hit imparted by the carbon fiber core. Was looking for a shaft with today's technology with more feedback. My Predator 314-2 did the job but just felt dead when I stroked a ball with English. It just lacked the feel I used to get from a non-laminated shaft. I'm very impressed with it so far and it has almost has the same about of reduced deflection like the 314-2. I've paired it with a Moori III Slow, giving me the response I'm looking for; used to play with a Everest tip. I may try Wizard tips down the road, heard good reviews, plus like the pricing.
 
hmmm, well i like the stiff hit but i do have to compensate for other shots but i did notice draw isnt really there as much , but topspin and side seem more amplified , i only use elkmaster duds that i purchased here from pooldawg , i may put that on my cue
