I know that shafts are quite the gnarly subject
for cue makers. I used to play exclusively with a
Predator 314-2 shaft. It was gold. I ended up
breaking the thing on accident (I have broken
a few on purpose/out of rage but in this case
it was an accident) and I was never able to replace
it. Sure I got a couple different 314-2 shafts but
they never felt the same. I played with a Z2 for
a while but eventually went back to good old solid
maple shafts.
Well, I have heard a little buzz lately about the
remarkable quality of Mezz shaft wood. I have
never played with one. I want to hear a cue
makers opinion: would you recommend a Mezz
shaft over your own?
