I was not sure if I should have posted this Q here or on the Ask Cue Maker Forum. Anyway...
My friend has a Mezz Ace cue that comes with a Alpha hybrid shaft. He was curious how the cue would play with a predator shaft. The thing is the standard pin on the cue is wavy joint. Could anyone tell me if this Wavy joint is the same with standard radial pin?? If not, could anyone tell me what the exact size of the pin? to me, it does look similar like normal radial pin but somehow it looks just a bit bigger.
This the link to the pin

Is there any disadvantage to having a wood thread on your cue compare to brass insert thread? would wood thread wear off with normal usage (2-4 trips to pool hall per week)?
Thanks
