Michigan City

I played another one and escaped another one. I played Naomi Williams from Toronto. I was winning the match pretty handily...7-1. Then a stupid shot changed the momentum. I got a little lucky because she came back really well. It was 7-5 and she made mistakes at the end of the rack two games in a row. I really felt like I couldn't do anything right there for awhile. I know that usually when you get to feeling like that it happens because you make it happen.

I have to play Jennifer Chen at 10pm. We have only played in WPBA tournaments once. It was a close match.

Take care,
Sarah

You can do it Sarah. Maintain the momentum. We're all behind you 100%. Remember that miracles happen to those who believe in them. Believe.

I know you don't need a miracle...you have it because you are THE Sarah Rousey. You are the shiznit. Play hard and snap it off...it's yours. ;)

I certainly hope you had a good time in Michigan City! You know you have all of us supporting you every tournament, even if from afar.

Take care,
Dea

Thank you everyone for your support. One of these days I will believe in myself as much as you all believe in me. That will be soon...I can promise that.

My match against Jennifer Chen started out great. I was playing perfect and I was winning the match 5-1. After that, everything went the opposite way. Jennifer played absolutely perfect from there on out. It was very impressive the way she could flip a switch and play so great. It showed what a great player she is and how determined she is.

I finished 25th. I felt like I was playing great. For some reason I had a mental roadblock in this tournament. I played so good and I just didn't let myself win...I had every opportunity in the world and didn't capitalize. This will definitely be the part of my game that I will be working on the most.

Thanks again for sticking with me through all the ups and downs. I feel honored that you all support me so much and believe in me so much. I hope to prove that I am worthy of all of that here soon.

Take care,
Sarah

Sarah:
You will soon be playing on TV and winning tournaments. Don't get down on yourself.
I would like to wish you the best of luck.
Cheers,
Richard

Sarah:
Guess what, landshark, your sista, just asked me to go to valley forge...I cannot cheat on you...but I do not want to see you fight with your sista....
Please forgive her for not able to resist the temptation. I am 100% faithful to you. Don't you worry...OK. ;)
Nite nite.

Richard,

Thanks for your kind words. What you said made me realize that I need to stop being so impatient. If I just let things happen and stop trying to rush success I may be better off. So I guess, without knowing, you have made me come up with a new motto: Take things in stride.

Take care,
Sarah

Sarah,

Have faith in yourself. Now as to your Take things is Stride motto.

I do remember Fred @ golden8ball telling me a story about one of the guys who is in town, and i believe they went to one of the Expos and the guy got to talking to a Pro, dont remember the name, but in the end this guy Vern asked him," So is there anything i can do that will make me play better faster" and the pro reply'd with a prompt NOPE, it all takes time.

So dont worry, I would bet money that by the end of the next season, you will have made atleast 2 tv shows.

Plus you learn from your mistakes too.

Dave

Dave,

Thank you for your kind words. I have always tried to not be too impatient, but I have been so close to that TV round and now I want to get back there or better ASAP. It will happen...I'm sure of that. I just have to let it happen rather than trying to force it to happen.

Take care,
Sarah

OK...so you are on to me...I don't sleep much. My pool playing ways have me turned into a complete night person....I bet no one else here has that problem. :)

Nope. Not me. The corporate world has turned me into a morning person. Sick, huh? Keep after 'em, Sarah. I watched you play in NC and the potential is there. Go maximize it!

Take care.

Turq, buzz off before you get caught on a fly trap. :p

I was not even talking to you, beware of the fly trap yourself.

Potential, wow, you really sound like you know what you are talking about...U think Sarah is some up and coming player? Potential! Sarah is a great player with a great career ahead of her.

Don't worry asrob, real life gets the best of us all eventually. I sleep normal hours, they are just a little backwards....sleep during the day and awake at night. I still get normal amounts of sleep though.

Thank you all for your kind words. It is encouraging to see that everyone supports my potential. I appreciate it.

Take care,
Sarah

Well, if anyone every notices when i post, lol, i am a total vampire lol. But anyways, yes Sarah i kinda know how you feel, its kinda like a tease, you get a taste of the final rounds a couple times, and then its like you get very close, and something always seems to happen so you dont make the next round.

if you have the patience of Job you will succeed :)

PS if need be i can always pull out my 2ft pipe and knee cap a opponent lol aka Tonya Harding style lol.

Dave :)
