So I am here....a little late...but I'm here. This is my first time to the Blue Chip Casino and I have to say it is a nice place. The arena is very small compared to some of the others we have played in, but very nice.

I have to play at 1pm against Lisa D'Atri from California. I have never played Lisa before. I will have updates as soon as the match is done.

Talk to you soon,
Sarah

Sarah Winns Her Frist Match

great job winning your frist match Sarah looks like your going to have a tuff
one with helena thornfeldt we all know that you have what it take to go out
and beat helena
good luck tonite let us know how your doing

First match....I really didn't play good. The scores leads you to believe that I did...but I really didn't. I won the match 9-2. I was really tired and I forgot that it has been taking me a little longer to warm up.

Tonight, I play the winner of Helena's match. It should be a very tough match. I am going to get some rest and then get myself ready to play.

I won't have another report until late. Our match doesn't start until 10pm.

I hope it's a good update later tonight!

Take care,
Sarah

Sarah,
Congratulations on your first round win against Lisa. It looks like you played an awesome, solid match. Keep it up. Stay focused, and no matter who you face in round 2, believe. If you believe, you can achieve. I know you can go all the way in this one. Just take it one shot at a time - and believe! I believe, and I know I'm not alone. Best of luck to you, we're all behind you.

Sarah,

Congrats on beating Lisa. I have to admit though that since she is a friend and practice partner I was pulling for her :) I'm rooting for you the rest of the way though.

She's working very hard on her game right now it's starting to come around. I think she'll start to see the fruits of her labor soon.

Cheers,
Regas

Regas,

Lisa is playing better...you can see it already. She got alot of bad rolls...when I say alot I mean ALOT! I feel very fortunate, otherwise it would have been an extremely close match. She works very hard and she was very upset after the match.

Sarah

Well its good to hear that you beat Lisa in your first match and facing Helena will be tough. And playing when your tired or not fully warmed up sucks lol. been there before.

I have a weird question, now do u ever feel bad for someone when they get crappy rolls like when Lisa did against you? Cuz i have had some matches before that i should have lost big time, and the person would either have a ball hang in the pocket or get a bad roll, and Its like i dont wanna win like that. I mean i will take the win, but i seriously dont want to win when, the player is running balls, and gets to the 7 or 8 and the pocket spits it out.

But thats just me.

It will come around for her. The other day when I played her, the first mistake she made was 6-5 (going to 7) THE THIRD SET. I think she beat me 7-2, 7-3 and 7-6. She played almost perfect. I look for good things from her soon. Good luck with your next match and throughout the tourney.

Cheers,
Regas

A dorky message from me (but I mean every word)

Sarah....you're down but not out...you've pulled thru before and you can do it again. One at at time...they're all yours....just knock 'em outta your way. You CAN do it.

So I do have disappointing news. To be completely honest...I did it to myself. I lost the match to Helena 9-4. The score looks like Helena played well....the truth of the matter is...she never had to run more than 4 balls to win a game. I absolutely played great...until I got to the end of the rack. In the second game, I ran out and I had an easy back cut on the 9ball. I hit it soft and it hit the 9 and it skidded sooooo bad. The 9 spun completely around and then decided to move towards the pocket...and proceed to hang there. After that happened I was very nervous that it was going to happen every shot. So...I admit, right now, that I played scared.

My next match is at 6pm tonight. I am ready for it. I made enough mistakes last night to last the whole year!! I'm still confident even though things happened the way they did. I will be back with an update later.

Take care,
Sarah

Sarah,
Keep your chin up. Stay focused and keep putting the balls in the pockets. Its just a bump in the road.

Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you're going to do now and do it.

Nothing can be called failure until you accept it as such. You can transmute all past failures and mistakes into assets. Adversity is Nature's method of disciplining people to learn to take possession of their own minds. Greatest blessings often come from the greatest adversities.
