Mika's new DVD series is finally available

Do the DVDs cover precisely how much english and how much draw and follow to use to control your shape off of rails?

Thanks,
Jen

IMO I have seen many instructors and videos say something like 2 tips or one tip. Not sure how effective that is as most people have different strokes and surely different ones than the Pros.

I have always taken the concept of what they are preaching and then practiced it to fit my stroke.

Videos look interesting and different. Graphics look great. I am not a Mika fan but will probably order these.

I'm not sure you need to be a Mika fan to get all the value these offer.

There are players I enjoy watching more for sure but I had the opportunity to meet Mika years ago in Vegas where he was playing challenge games against the legue players.

It was my first time at one of these tournaments and I was excited to get to play a top player. I ended up winning our game of 8-ball (which he probably gave to me). Anyway instead of moving on to the next guy he racked the balls and said to me "I guess I have to win the table back".

Doesn't sound like a big deal but for a league player it felt really good and I walked away with a great memory and a great impression of him.

Currently I give advice to many of the Canadian players and one of the things is what Mike taught me that day. Make sure everyone that meets you walks away talking positive about it.

Congrats to Mika, a great player, a great choice and a great person!

well nathan since you asked,

you should have mika pimp these vids where ever he goes. i just saw him here in korea and i know he's in the philippines right now for the Quezon City challenge. stickers flyers whatever you can think of. any time a fan comes up to him to take pictures or sign an autograph something about the vids should be coming out of his mouth.

maybe try and work something out with charlie and dragon promotions too.

full promotion mode should be his mantra

just my .02

$84.95 sent (mrsoeil)

nice teaser nathan! you are obviously a pro. that trailer and me just seeing mika's skills up close (again) made the purchase a no-brainer. mika could sell these easily, all he has to do is let people know they are available.

also get these on Seyberts if you can.

thanks

Excellent work!

How long is each DVD?

Thanks for the compliment. Each DVD is approximate an hour and a half (to be exact, the volumes are 88 mins, 87 mins, and 85 mins long).

Thanks Kano. I've actually contacted Seyberts already (correction, Mika contacted them for me). Arrangements are being made as soon as my promo copy gets to them this week. Thanks for the great suggestions.

The table was designed in SoftImage XSI. It's the program that was used to make all the effects in the movie 300. Unfortunately I don't think it can be converted to a DWG, as the files are all animated.

As for the content, I've posted sample lessons on the site. Hopefully that helps to show that the quality is maintained through all aspects of the production.

Thanks for the info.

I checked out the program and it looks cooool, but i know nothing about it, but movies at its not my business. I was hoping something like this was possible with 3ds and autocad. I've got some crazy idea to use 3d to analyse a big 14-1 run, and was hoping i could get there with 3d studio and autocad.

Anyway, A++++ on the graphics ! I love them!

Looks to be great stuff. I ordered mine.

Don't forget to talk to Muellers! Their cue guy even posts here.

Absolutely, positively...

Absolutely, positively the best pool instructional DVD ever made...

The quality of the footage is outstanding and the commentary is top notch.

Thank you for putting in the hard work! It is very well appreciated!

Applying English?

I watched the previews...do the DVDs instruct the player to apply parallel english? It seems that way from the segment where squirt is explained.

Thanks,
Jen

These are only for sale locally? Or is there an avenue for international customer?

The series is available internationally from the website.

Just out of curiosity, what gave you the impression that they were only available locally? Not exactly the impression that I want portray. :p

Just saw some samples, WOW! Now I'm definitely getting a set. Xmas or not.
