Brian that is one hell of a cue. Mike was such a nice person to talk to. RIP Mike. I hope you cherish that cue forever! Colin

He was a great cuemaker, but a even greater person. He next day air this cue so that I would have it on my 40th birthday, on his dime of course. Later he sent me additional 2 extra for free! That was the kind of person he was.

Rip mike

R.I.P Mike,
You will be truely missed by all who knew you, ever met you, and would have like to of met you(That says alot). Mike ever since 1994(14yrs old) when we first met you impressed me, and as young kid I looked up to you, still as I do to this day and I always will.

You will be greatly missed, this is a sad ,terrible, and a sudden loss of someone who is such a great person, kind, funny, smart, honest, hard working, dependable, and the list goes on because there are so many great words to describe you. You would do anything for another good human being and were a blessing to all who knew you.You are a person with such great knowledge as a master cue maker,to help rise the Tim Scruggs cues company to where they are today in the USA & overseas. Not only a Scruggs but making your own line of fine cues in limited numbers with great pride, detail, and craftsmanship. You were a gift to the world and the world of billiards. The world in general will morn this loss but the world of billiards will as well, GREATLY! They will never recover in my opinion for I feel your style can not be duplicated by anyone as there are many great ones out there but NONE ARE YOU. I wish Nov 2009 wasnt the last time I saw you and Jan 2010 wasnt the last time we spoke.I wish I could have shook your hand atleast 1 more time and said goodbye. It was an honor to have played with all the cues you made me over the years and have meet such a great cue maker. I ll never forget you!! I will miss you my friend forever!!!!!!!! I wish Mikes family, Timmy Scruggs, and all his friends my best.Im speechless

Steve

I never met Mike and he never made me a cue but with what people are saying here, it looks like we lost a great guy. His work was of the highest quality.

He will be sorely missed.

R.I.P. Mike

I love the floating green veneers. I waas going to keep it and sell my eight point player for a donation. I may just go to my retirement and send cash. The cues mean so much to me. It was just about completed a few eeks ago just needing a few last finishing coats.
Like you and Erich talking to Mike was a twice daily or more thing. Never on weekends though. Those were for family.
These pictures are not a reflection of Mike's finished work. It just wasn't there yet.
Great cue you got there Mr Brian,
Your buddy.

Wow Nick that cue is simply stunning. He was making me a cue as well although I do not know at what stage its at. I look forward to getting the cue and it will surely be a keeper. Something to remember him by and pay tribute to him when i take it out to play with.
