Does anyone know if Mike Davis gives lessons? If so, does anyone know how to contact him?

Thanks for any info!

there are plenty of people on here with his contact info, so more than likely he already knows that you posted, but if you want to PM me your info, i can text him that you are interested.

PS this is probably a good time to catch him as he is in the area on his way to Turning Stone and then will be coming back toward his new home, NC.

Andy...I sure hope you're looking for strategy lessons, and not stroke lessons! Mike's stroke is as ugly and unconventional as it gets:eek: ...but it gets the job done for him. He's a top player, and a really nice guy (no doubt because his DAD is also a great guy!).

Mike IS a member on this forum. I would suggest pming him through az. I'm fairly certain he checks az on occasion.

Mike's style is a bit unorthodox but he is extremely knowledgable and very nice.

Good luck! :)

he actually does not get online much at all - as mentioned, if you are interested in meeting up with him and if noone has helped you, pm me your info and i will get it to him.

Better watch out for Mike. I have no indication that the following is anything other than mildly amusing:

I had a dream the other night that Mike came over to my house to play pool. The first time he broke the balls, he shattered the 9 (yes, the 9). We moved over to the carom table (my dream) and he leaned over it and knocked it over. Then he said he could fix it (claiming his 'old man has an awesome set of tools'), but he had no tools, just took a stick and started beating on the rail.

Honestly, I had that dream!

And...Mike is a great guy!

Because this is just a dream, I have an awesome set of tools. In the not dream state I do have some pretty good tools but not awesome. We should just leave it at the dream state and I will fix the dream table in my dreams for you.

I played Mike a few months ago in Arizona. I played flawless and had him down about 8-2 or 8-3 in a race to 9 i think. He caught a gear (as he usually does) and ended up beating me hill-hill.

This was the first time i actually had the opportunity to play him in a tourney. As Scott said, he does not have the most impressive stroke mechanics, but he can flat out play.

Afterwards, we all had lunch next door to the pool hall. He sat down with us and we chatted about the pool scene back on the east coast. He is a very nice guy and was a pleasure to be around.

There is no doubt he could definately teach you a thing or two, or three, or four.

I'd hate to see him giving stroke lessons.

Mike Davis Lesson

Just spoke to Mike and he said to contact him at
Ironmikedavis75@yahoo.com .... Mike's a great guy and very low key. I agree is stroke is unconventional, but ask him why he shoots that way and it make sense for him. Good Luck
