Just got a chance to see this:

As I mentioned in the "Why Do I Care" thread, someone at the pool room came up to me last night, mentioning this interview they saw on the local news, about some kid from Waterville (an hour away from us) that's one of the best in the country, and wasn't that cool, and why hadn't he heard about this before... Kind of sad, really, but at least Mike got some local TV time.

Nicely done, Mike. Good job, and good luck!

Good for you Mike.

More of the 'pros' could learn a few things from Mike.

Indeed...good interview. Now more in Maine know they have a champion living in their midst.

Very nicely done interview , Congrats on the exposure ... Pool is in needs all the good exposure it can get

Saw this last night on TV.

Well done interview, and nice to see a local boy getting some attention.

Excellent piece, Mike seems like a nicer guy than a lot give him credit for. Fierce competitors are often misunderstood.

Mike is a super nice guy, and quite misunderstood I think. One conversation with him will likely change ones perception about him.

His conversations with (and around) many people give a different perception. I guess it's hit and miss with him.

Nice interview. I'm a MD fan. I guess what makes me a fan of a player is a combination of great play and a personality. MD certainly has both. But there is an additional X factor: they guy says whatever is on his mind. "So Mike is the game still fun?" The obvious answer to this is "Yes." Mike didn't take that easy out; he paused to think about it and gave his honest answer. Go back and watch the TAR podcasts he's been on. He's great in those too.

mike is cool one on one, when he is standing around a group of people he isnt at his best. that said, i know mike very well and he knows me very well. he is good with me, he would do better if he learned to listen sometimes -well lets say act on what he listens to. he would go farther and have a better road in life if he would do that. not my problem, i still like him. never had a beef with him, most likely never will. he needs to use his assets and put the ego on the shelf, if he did that he would shine in pool.

Since when have pool players been nice. Some may come off as nice, but after you lose your money, not so nice. Great interview. You go Mike

I agree with this. I am a fan of Mike and his game. I can relate with what he says and where he's been.
