Mike Howerton and Mr Wilson... *sigh*

Oh Jeez .. why don't you just STRADDLE the middle ground? You are familiar with STRADDLE, right?
So because I think Ross shouldn't have been banned, I should therefore dislike Mr Wilson? That is STUPID.

If you hate Mike, Mr Wilson, AZ, whoever... you don't have to post on this forum. If you aren't happy, find another. I like AZ and the JimBo forum, although I post here more frequently.

And if I'm a nuthanger, then you're a duckbutter :joyful:

just because it's not perfect doesn't mean people are just going to leave. who knows some of these complaints might change someone's opinion

i don't like doing the name calling thing but this thread does kind of seem like a kiss ass move

Because I thought they could use a small gesture of appreciation, since a couple threads want to criticise them.

not that the job is easy but the other threads were started because people are being banned for complaining about being ripped off. the guys doing the ripping off don't complain so they get to stay and do it again. there're people that contributed to this forum that got banned so that some theif could stay.

if the OP is really from Georgia, then she would know the southern sexual connotation for the term, "duckbutter".

but that would require "owning up" (admitting) to actually posting sexual content and that would be a bannable offense.

there are other terms that we let slip into our lexicon that have sexual meanings, but because we are getting poorer and poorer in our rich-textured language, they slip by without even raising an eyebrow. unfortunately, the USA, as a whole, has dumbed down our language to the lowest common denominator. we are on the brink of falling like the Roman empire of old. then there will only be one superpower left....

DuckButter Dip
Ready In: 10 Minutes
Yields: 24 servings

"DuckButter Dip This is a recipe I got from a restaurant from the owner/chef. It can be used with crusty bread, crackers, melba toast, or whatever you like. Different and unique."
INGREDIENTS:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room
temperature
3 ounces blue cheese, at room
temperature
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1/4 cup minced onion
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (e.g.
Tabasco?)
1 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS:
1. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with a mixer until light and creamy. Blend in the blue cheese, garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce and salt. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover and refrigerate until serving.

Well, I and another had complaint threads about the same builder at 2 different times and neither were removed. Perhaps its a matter of approach and tact. Of course several builders on the site got involved so perhaps that made the difference.

In Asia, I've heard that it might be the same as a dish called Creme of SumYunguy.

I think therein lies the problem. They weren't banned for complaining, they were banned for HOW they were complaining. Big difference.
Neil - please look at the post that got me a 30 day ban last month and explain to me HOW it was banning material.

Mods have a thankless job that they don't get paid for. They put up with inane posts, flames, and childish behaviour. Sure, I've questioned some threads being closed or removed, certain people being banned, and don't agree with every little thing they do. That's because you will never please anyone 100% of the time. (I know I drive them crazy on a constant basis.)

I'm not kissing anyone's ass by posting this. I've received warnings on a few occasions and have even been hit by the ban hammer. By the way, I'm always going to complain about avatars and the nature of some posts. ;)

Mike and Dave: Thanks for giving us a place to congregate. It if wasn't for AZ, I would never have made the friendships I have.

There are a few things...

I like to drive 85+, it's a habit. I know that if I get caught, I get slapped. I know the roads are regulated. If I don't adhere to those regulations, I run the risk of punishment.

Just like here... it's not a hard concept to grasp. Why people fight it is beyond me, there are multiple forums more laxed, or should we say tolerant, of the behavior of fools, so maybe that is where they should congregate.

Again, I find the concept easy to manage.
