Mike Sigel vs Dallas West - 1992 US Open 14.1 Championship Finals

Always thought Dallas WEST was the most enjoyable player watch play straight pool as a spectator. Rock solid pace of play. No offense but many other finest players in world I have watched, play like snails. Dallas had a ton of natural ability for the game. Rare guy indeed.

Cue ball jumped at 52:40. Is that an indication of a double hit?
You can see from the shadow that the balls were about an inch apart. I think the jump was just from the elevation. The action on the cue ball looked OK.

His stroke was utterly gorgeous in the few Accu-Stats videos I have of him. That final delivery is really a sight to behold.

He has a great "old style" 14.1 video available at Accu-Stats against Zuglan at the 92 Open. 150 in two innings.

Regarding the break shot missed by West at 28:30, I chatted with West shortly after that match. His comment was "I haven't missed the pack on that break shot in twenty-five years."

Dallas was one of the most elegant old-schoolers to watch.
